My current insane dream

Here's what I've been lusting after - lot's of saving to be done...

At $67,000 for the s model would you buy a new Caymen
or a used 911.

As soon as my wife goes back to work (only 3 more years) I'm getting a 3-4 year old 911.

Well 67K is out either way!

I'm looking used - probably around 50K. Still, the 996 models of the 911 are in that range.

I like them both - if I went for the 911 it would have to have the PSM (stability management option) given the tendency of the rear of the car to pass you...I think it standard on the new models (997s). There are some pretty sweet 996 model C4S's out there for about $50K.

I'm going to wait until this summer when I can sell my Boxster a little easier. If I can clear $22K, I'm almost 1/2 way there!

The Cayman handles better but the 911 has more power and it's a 911.

The Cayman S I drove last week was pretty much perfect except for the color. Too bad, it looks like a good deal (41.5K).

A nice 911 C4S (2004):
