I had to change user name back then.
Been here since the beginning of the inter webs. I’m 61.
Vol grad and Knoxville native.
You’d love me in person. Just not translating for you via the written word apparently. 😨

So, my brother has two degrees. One from Florida and one from UT.
He lives in Knoxville but roots for the Gators.
He loves to talk bad about the Vols and this is his latest conspiracy theory.
He says that the Vols will lose their next five: UGA, MSU, BAMA, USC, UAB.
He says at 1-8 and losing Homecoming that a fed up Fulmer would come onto the field to congratulate UAB Coach Bill Clark and tell him that he would like to talk to him and that he would be calling his agent. (tampering?).

The reasoning: We love coaches from Alabama. Clark grew up in Anniston and is a Jacksonville State grad (at least it’s not UATuscaloosa). But, the main reason is that Clark would take the UT job and the big raise and he knows about rebuilds doing it twice at UAB.

Not completely insane, I guess.
But I really see us at 3-6 (Not 1-8) beating MSU and UAB.
That would take the pressure off of Fulmer/Pruitt especially if we beat Vandy which I think we will to finish 4-8.
Do me a favor................... Shutup

It was really harmless. Read it again if u want
It’s a message board. It’s about differing opinions relating to Tennessee football.
I’ve never told anyone here to shut up and never would.
All opinions are welcome, at least I thought they were.

It would be a very poor decision to fire our current head coach and then turn around and not make a big time hire. Yes, I know that is what we have done the past couple of times but I don't think Fulmer would make the same mistake twice and that is assuming that hiring Pruitt was a mistake (which I do not believe to be true, yet).

If Fulmer goes HC hunting again, this time he will not bargain shop. He can't afford to. However, he won't for whatever reason launch a Saturn V level search. Rather an Atlas-Centaur level search. Thus, if he hires post-Pruitt at the end or after next season; we'll see a Mike Norvell, Matt Rhule, Hugh Freeze, or Les Miles hire in that order of preference. Except for Baylor's coach, they're low cost proven coaches. He MIGHT insist on which coaches they hire for the defense. And press hard for Mike, because anyone who successfully competes with the SEC schools for Memphis players is a big plus.

Stop looking at me like that. You ought to know by now I'm a wild and crazy guy.

I like a lot of your suggestions.
I also like my brothers suggestion about UAB’s Bill Clark (he built a program twice).

I can respect that. I’m just a little tired of all the nonsense here. “We love coaches from Alabama.” What the he.. does that mean? Your brother? Really? He thinks we’re going to 1-8. Genius prediction given we’re 4 games in and have played one decent team. Sounds like a Gator Jack nut. Please tell him Florida is going 7-5 for me.

You post made up stories. That's not simply posting am opinion
Yes, I have made up stories on here but they are so farcical that they are not to be believed.
As for my Gator brother, though, He is all too real and a pain in the ass.
He lives in Farragut and works in Knoxville. An ambulance chasing attorney. But, he actually chases more skirts than ambulances. Hence, three wives and three divorces.

Oh I have. Starting with Auburn this Saturday in Gainesville. War Eagle!
My two favorite teams are the Vols and whoever is playing Florida (and Georgia and Alabama). I hope I live long enough to see us beat all three of them in the same season.

Pruitt is here through the end of next year no matter what happens on the field. I see some people just refuse to believe that.
No doubt you’re the one that said “no way CBJ gets fired during the season “. !
If you leave out the “no matter what happens on the field “!then your post becomes reasonable and likely. But at some point if you stink it up bad enough, you’re gone.
Ask the hundreds of coaches who know

Enough of the silly conspiracies with Fulmer. And definitely enough with giving him any credit on being more forward-thinking than literally anyone else.

I don't know about the OP, strange post, but so far as CP being here next year, and year after that, and so on, good chance. A lot of Tennessee fans have a permanent case of "Coach Worship", they can't help it, there appears to be no (or very seldom) cure. How do you think we kept boy butch for so long? Five years of boy butch was a case where many believe we just didn't give him enough time, another five and he'd have us playing for a NATY. As long as we have so many of these guys waking up every morning, kissing their very own photo of CP, and singing Rocky Top, we'll have Pruitt for a long, long time.
