This is not as far fetched as some are making it out to be.
I think the offensive line is gonna be top 5 in the SEC, and that will help John Kelly get over 1500 rushing yards, and over 2000 all purpose yards. Hes gonna have a breakout year.

Having a top 5 OL in the SEC isn't all that far fetched. The talent is there for that group. They just need to develop.
2000 all purpose yards or Kelly probably is unless he starts doing returns as well though.
We know Kelly is talented of course. In an ideal situation, I could see him going for 1500 yards. However, with a new QB and our WR corps being mostly young (besides Smith and Jennings), I expect opposing to try and take away the run first and foremost against UT in 2017. If the passing game struggles early on, which is very possible, it could be hard for him to find room as much room running as he did when teams had to worry about Dobbs' legs and Malone taking the top off of the defense.
We don't know how Kelly will hold up being the top guy over the course a full season either. He has a sturdy build, but he's not a big back. If we have to lean really heavily on him, no telling how well he holds up down the stretch.
Kelly having a compact frame is going to help with taking hits a lot. He's not lean like Kamara.
I'm hoping that and the fact that he's going into his third year without much tread on his tires will mean we get a full season of him at 100%. But until we see it, it's a concern in my book, especially with our RB depth almost completely unproven.
No reason for the '17 OL not to be solid, with depth, veterans, and 4/5-star guys all over the place. Sure injuries hurt their production last year, but we are talking about this year now.
RB might be most questionable unit on the team right now ... thus negavols are eager to pick at that and ignore the other units ... but questionable does not equate with sucks, only means not well known at this time how it will turn out. If Kelly can just stay healthy early on, then he will have some reinforcements getting up to speed as the season progresses.
I agree with being in wait and see mode because OL play hasn't been great since Butch has been here.Your first sentence.....replace '17 with '16 and read it again. How'd that go? That's why, imho, a lot of us aren't particularly optimistic about our OL this year. The exact same thing could've been and indeed was said last year at this time, yet the 2016 OL was a weak spot for the team. In full wait and see mode myself.

What? John Kelly is as good as Kamara or Hurd and probably runs harder than both of them put together. Ty Chandler is going to be a capable backup as a freshman and will end up with 400-500 yards as a true freshman. Fils-Amin will be a decent third string player.
Now, most questionable unit on the team has to be our secondary, cornerbacks in particular. Without Barnett putting pressure on the QB this year, these guys will be on an island and that doesn't bode well for Mosely, Martin, Buchannan, etc...
