Stopping their running game. Rainey is averaging 7.3 ypc and Demps is averaging 8.2 ypc. Granted they've played easy games but still impressive

Brantley hasn't been overly impressive so far but with a running game like they have he doesn't really have to be.

FL has attempted 56 passes and 88 rushes

TN has had 66 and 81 respectively

Wilcox has this under control, wait and see :)

I would take Wilcox over Weiss any day of the week and twice on Sat.

So let me get this straight. When bray tears up two better teams than what UF has played he hasn't faced a good defense. But when Rainey or demps does it against worst defenses than we saw, we should worried? No no. UF is one dimensional. Brantley is bad. Wilcox has it under wraps.

I think we will try to keep them inside and protect the corners. Make the waterbugs earn it between the tackles and let our big LBs (finally!) give them a lot of love.

My biggest worry is Bray being overconfident and not respecting the speed of their D, resulting in turnovers.

Funny how we discount UFs offensive #s because of their opponents but treat ours like we're gonna do this all year on everybody. One game at a time, and let's stop hyperventilating over Bray, Hunter, and Rogers just yet

Lots of Wilcox love so far this year replaces a tidal wave of Wilcox hate last year.

We are talking about the same OC that started Thomas Jones over Jamaal Charles the whole year?

Let's not get over confident because of the two teams we have beaten. It's Florida, we never count them as an automatic win.

Florida still has better depth than u's, but think whoever wins the turnover battle will win the game.

I am still bitter Chavis couldn't adjust to Weiss' 50 straight screens in South Bend.

Sorry for the reference ( I have children ) but it reminds me of Jerry Seinfield's character in the bee movie trying to get out through the window.

This time, this time, this time.... ugh.

Here are my concerns with UF:

1. UT's fumbling problem could kill us early.

2. Darr...field position will be key in this game and he is a liability right now.

3. Bray's first start outside the state of Tennessee.

4. Uf's run defense is national championship caliber.

Having said that, this is the best chance UT has of beating UF since 2006.

Defensive Pressure, Def ends pressure on the corners. Pass rush and middle containment.
Hope we are holding back and think we are.....will see next week.

Wilcox has the abillty to adjust, have seen it twice so far this year. The gators may come out smoking but he will shut em down.

Florida's defense and speed worry me more than anything else. Demps and Rainey are threats to go to the house anytime they touch it. Florida's defense has been mighty stingy and appears to have good size and speed.

That said, our offense is explosive and this will be by far the best opponent that Florida has faced this season. As explosive as Demps and Rainey are, Hunter and Rogers are their equals. Bray has shown the ability to make smart decisions with the ball and turnovers should be limited. The fumbling problem we've had is a little concerning, but Brantley has just been playing pitch and catch against slow, undersized secondaries (so has Bray) and will have to protect the football.

I haven't had a chance to analyze all the numbers, but my early prediction is UT 38- UF 28. Here are two interesting stats: Florida has gained ten more yards than Tennessee through the first two games (980 vs. 970) but Tennessee has had a full touchdown more in scoring (87 vs. 80). If there is any truth to my belief that Tennessee has faced superior opponents than this could be a long day for the Gators in The Swamp!

it's really, really dangerous to form an opinion when playing cupcakes. at least positive opinions. if you struggle at something against a cupcake, odds are you will struggle against quality opponents too.

i think you have two fanbases that are excited because tennessee hasn't looked that good even in practice in a few years. in florida's case, florida only having one bad snap in two games and john brantley putting his helmet on correctly have florida excited.

a lot of unknowns will become more clear on saturday.

i still would lean toward florida because i like them better on the line of scrimmage and they are at home.

but, if florida can't get to bray, odds are he and the receiving corps will light up the secondary.

“Florida's secondary played a lot of vanilla zone coverages that allowed UAB receivers to get past one defender and into a pocket beneath the safety. Despite throwing for just 141 yards, UAB quarterback Bryan Ellis had four completions of 16 or more yards. Against a team like Tennessee, which comes equipped with Tyler Bray, Justin Hunter, and Da'Rick Rogers, this is a weakness that could spell doom.
The Florida pass rush has yet to materialize. No sacks from the Gators tonight bodes poorly for a future that includes SEC offensive lines.”
