The So Miss game will be my 1st since 1986..and I have a few ?s

I got seats in ZZ 15 row 4 I think they have seat backs?

Also I am taking my 78 yo Dad whao has not been to a game sine the Bill Battle days.

The game I think is set for 7pm..so what time will the Vol Walk happen? And then what time will the band come down and stop like I heard they did and play then they go into the stadium.

If you start hanging out around 3 at the latest you should have a good standing spot for the vol walk. band will follow shortly after.

I'm not positive but didn't think there were seatbacks in the upper deck. Haven't been up there in a long time.

I thought that most of that endzone in the upper deck had chair backs, but I don't sit over there.

I like sitting in seats like that. The high endzone view let's you see a ton of stuff develop.

On Virtual Neyland if u click on one part of ZZ it says bleachers...if u click on the top part it says chairbacks

Says there are 26 rows...my seats are in row 4

So I guess my ? is ...only part of ZZ is chairbacks?

Yes, the first few rows of the North Upper deck are bleachers. The chairbacks start above the walkway and are just in the area under the North endzone roof.

The good news is, I believe Row 4 is the last row of bleachers before the walkway starts, so if your back/rump gets tired, you can stand against the rail behind you.

I actually like the upperdeck around the 30 yl for the same reason. People talk about sitting in the lower on the 50 as a good thing, but I've been there and the view isn't very good imo.

I agree. I usually sit in Section J right about 1/2-2/3 of the way up looking right down the sideline. I really don't like to be down any lower than that.

I think I've found my home in Section WW - 1st row. It's a hike up there but the view is great. We've been there the last 3 seasons and have no plans to accept moving opportunities.

When I get back I am in XX 12 and on the end of the row and I love them. I enjoy the sidelines under the overhand as well. For now, my seats are on the couch in front of the TV :hmm: Stupid grad school.

As far as the Vol Walk - If I remember correctly from last year, it usually starts about 2 hrs. and 15 min before kickoff. But, you do have to get there about 1 hr before this to get a good spot. As soon as the Vol Walk is over you can go over to watch the band march into the stadium...aaaaaaaaaah....can't wait!!! GO BIG ORANGE!
