MVP through 2 games.

Hurd is always the MVP IMO. He's so consistently good that we almost take it for granted.

Malone's not a bad second choice. He has definitely emerged as a threat. I also think Micah Abernathy has been the biggest surprise on the defense. He's been extremely good for a guy with very limited experiment on the field. I've been immensely impressed with him.

Mike Debord/Dobbs for keeping it fair. Almost every time they throw deep to Malone he makes a huge play. Its almost unfair to opposing corners.

They're keeping it fair by stubbornly running it up the middle and throwing 2 yard passes over and over and over.

I had to include Debord bc its probably his idea.

Sarcasm aside how about Kendall Vickers. He had a great game against VT.

who else...Josh Dobbs...that is all...:salute:

GO VOLS!

So you think that Josh Dobbs is our mvp when you include both games? He had a good second game but was pretty bad the first one. I know his potential and his past performances warrant his inclusion when talking about our best player, but so far this season he is not the mvp. He probably will be at the end of the year but not right now. My vote would be Hurd. He saved us in the first game and is grinding out tough yards behind a struggling o-line and arguably a system that does not fit his running style (I formation vs shotgun).

Not arguing for mvp status, but my favorite play of the game was big Shy Tuttle busting thru the line and beating out the qb and back to the bad snap fumble

Abernathy is my guy, i have been really high on him since we recruited him! The guy has not disappointed either! In the end he will be one of the best db's to come through Tennessee imo!

Hurd is consistent and very solid, what's more impressive about the team is he might be the third beat back on the roster.!so much talent, so little time/plays.

Abernathy. Malone has been great given he's only had 6 or 7 chances to catch as ball the first two games. But Abernathy was our best player vs App State and then he recovers 3 fumbles vs VT....Micah is my leader in the clubhouse right now.

How about some love for Danny O'Brien? He's completely overshadowed by Tuttle and McKenzie for publicity, but he's been a monster in the middle so far. Leaps and bounds better than he was even last year.

O'Brien has def been a force for us so far, even if he's not making the TFLs, he's getting into the backfield plenty.

I dont remember Abernathy getting alot of hype like some of the other defensive backs we signed, but he is showing out on gameday. Real happy for him.
