Mutiny now underway

This is a terrible thread and like the rest of you, instead of just ignoring it, we have to respond to tell the one who posted it, that it's not worth responding to. This thread is irrelevant. There must be something of substance and not opinion with worthless past references to discuss here.

:lolabove: Hard to believe a human being actually sat down and typed this...Absolutely hilarious :eek:lol: Wow

:clapping: Exactly. Hilarious is possibly an understatement. I'm so sick of these idiots--why are they not out there coaching? Just a bunch of drivel that has no point whatsoever. If a ball is anywhere near so a WR can get both hands on the ball, there is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE for not catching the ball. There was close to 10 drops last night.....10!!!!! That is totally unacceptable and 110% of that blame goes squarely on the WRs. And it's our "leaders" at WR who are dropping all these passes. Jones, Moore, Hancock, Warren...I'm sick of the egos...I'd much rather just see Teague, Nuke, Rogers, etc in there--they tend to catch what they are supposed to catch and aren't throwing people under the bus with their words/actions. I'd just assume Jones and Warren not see the field for another down this year.

It is beyond comprehension why Crompton is allowed to continue making a fool of himself and this team. The players are only going to take so much and they will shut down against the coaches. It has started and will continue until this qb is replaced.

Do you all remember the SEC Championship game against Auburn with Manning? The receivers had had enough of the endless rant about the golden boy Manning. I can still see the look on Manning's face after the receivers dropped pass after pass after pass after pass. Manning willed that win against the WR's. Then here comes T. Martin the next season and you have all of this cohesion.

These players don't give a rats @@@ about the University of Tennessee, but they do expect the coaches to put them in a position to win.
:ermm:

I have no words for this.

They are all trying to impress our NFL coaching staff to get a good recommedation while not thinking of our team right now and cohesion. I hate this thread!

For those in the know, that is absolutely true because Jamal Lewis saved that season by making the offense 2dimensional again with the expection of the KY game

the vast majority of the players are not fans of the backup either. SO what does mutiny get them???

Larry, it seems that the fans who are not informed seem to be having most of the issues with what it going on. If the people with internet connections and no knowledge of the game would just go away, things would be much better around here. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist though to figure out that if Stephens was a better option then he would be playing. He's not and he will probably never will play another down here at UT, barring an injury of course.

What?? This is probably the worst post I have seen this season. EVERY SINGLE PLAYER ON DEFENSE IS LAYING THEIR BODY ON THE LINE TO TRY AND WIN THE GAME.

What?? It wasn't directed at you or anyone else that has a clue on this board. It's directed at those who think that Stephens is our savior without having enough common sense to figure out that if he were that much better or close he would be playing right now. That was the point of my post.

Silly thread. Receivers are very stat focused. If the ball is coming their way they'll do their absolute best to catch it.

This was probably Crompton's best game (a pretty low bar, I know) but he actually played well enough for UT to win. He had another fumbled snap but he only threw 1 pass that I thought should have been picked off. The receivers dropped a ton of balls. Crompton missed plenty of open receivers as well but aside from the fumbled snap he avoided the crushing mistakes.

Crompton's performance would make me feel better if I didn't know that Auburn's defense sucked. When he plays UGA and South Carolina the going will be tougher.
Many of JC throws were not on the money. Im sure the recievers would be more confident if they were thrown a catchable ball.

I dont now if there are grumbling about Crompton being our QB from the team or not. I dont have the inside sources that an amazing number of you here on VN claim to have.

I also dont now if Kiffin is trying to impress recruits by "sticking by his QB" like many have claimed. However IF that is true, he is risking losing the whole team to prove his loyalty to one player. I personally dont believe this is the case. I think Kiffin, and the team realize that Crompton is the best they have and that they are going to just have to ride it out. Thats why I highly doubt that there is a 'mutiny' underway, at least by the team. No doubt there is some frustration on the part of the players, including JC himself. I cant IMAGINE the frustration CLK MUST be feeling.

The only mutiny that is foresee is by armchair QB's and internet wondercoaches who have no idea just how far this program has declined. Those people are inconsequential except for the light they cast on the rest of our fanbase.

the guy is right. Crompton has lost his recievers. They are not interested in helping him keep his job. It's easy to see. Just watch their body language on the sideline. They talk to Nick more than John. When you have a qb that is this bad, it brings down the whole team.

Confine the Captain to his quarters under lock and guard. Stephens and Lamaison will alternate series, with Nukeese running the Nu-gun intermittently.

Can we compile a list of people to place on ignore?

for the record, i have season tickets and a 6+ hour drive to watch the vols every saturday. i don't boo crompton because it doesn't help in any way. with that being said, i am only stating what i see. my seats are 30 rows up behind the vols bench and it's not hard to tell the offense as a whole has had about all they want of crompton.

This team is dispirited. How can you not be whenthe ball is never where it is supposed to be. I think the receivers should run baclward. Then the ball would be thrown in front of them.

Now, that's funny.

Well out of 114 JC is rated 89th if that says anything. But as far as the passing game there was plenty blame to go around from drop balls to bad passing. But I think there's been more bad passes than drop balls over the last 5 games.

I think Crompton is the best there best there is at the moment, and maybe the receivers simply have as many bad plays as the QB...

Are you serious? Please define catchable, because a ball that is catchable to a Randy Moss is probably not catchable to YOU. This is just another LAME excuse to lay all the blame at the feet of Crompton. If it hits them in the hands.. they should catch it.. period. Even if they have to adjust.. now THERE's a concept... they should be making plays. WR is the easiest position on the field, and I see little if any help for a not so great QB running from a defense that is getting thru a porous O-line. Team game.. remember?
