Muschamp to hold Press Conference tomorrow morning

I just listened to Jimmy Sexton on a Memphis sports radio station. He said that everything went down in a 24 hour period and since SC was a private school, they could wheel and deal that quickly. He said that Kiffin always told Hamilton that SC was his dream job and that Hamilton wasn't surprised.. just disappointed. Even though Sexton is a Tenn alum, he couldn't advise Kiffin to stay. He actually thought the SC job was better suited for Kiffin and that it is an easier job than Tenn. He has no idea about who the next coach might be.

Hamilton's is at 1pm according to the local morning sports show in the Tri Cities.

I think they said Muschamp's is before that, but I may not have heard it all. Trying to work. :)

Assistant coaches/coordinators don't hold press conferences to announce that they are taking a new job--that's done by the hiring school. If Muschamp is holding a presser, which I doubt, it won't be to announce that he's coming to UT. The Vols need an offensive guy, anyway, or somebody that has more potential than musch to stay longer than two years--he would be a risk. When are ADs going to start toughening up contracts so that this kind of bs doesn't happen so much.

How could anybody "work" today??? Just think about how much money will be lost in TN workforce today, worst than black Monday.

We need a good hire and quick.

Muschamp would be a great hire and we need that really bad! Kiffin is all hype. I admit like most of vols fans, that i bought into him. After the embarassing bowl loss to V.T. I wasn't impressed. We should have been better prepared with such an experience coaching staff. Edsell from UCONN would be another great hire IMHO. GO VOLS!!

Mike Hamilton better construct the coaching contracts much better. $800,000 buyout for Kiffin is a total insult. Have to make it more punitive. He better hit a home run on this hire or he might be the next one out IMO.

UT needs to break the bank and offer Muschamp whatever he wants, with full power to hire all coaches, etc. Hamilton better not screw this up like he did the kiffin contract.

We aren't going to hire a new coach in 12 hours people. It's going to take at least some time. Not to mention a high profile coach like Muschamp. Only Kiffin can leave town that fast.
