Do we think Jordan Murphy and/or Jacquez Jones make it in? Every other recruit enrolled by 6-1-17.

As far as position rankings our WR corp is one of the lower rated in the conference by the pundits. We need the strength in numbers.

I'm really pulling for Murphy. Dude is a stud. He was one of the recruits I was most excited about.

Let's put it this way; Butch's luck with highly rated guys has had mixed results, especially concerning their loyalty. With that in mind, I not going to lose my mind over him taking the 3 star guys, especially if they perform like 4 and 5 stars.

Every class usually has two or three who have an academic issue. So, this is normal. If they get here mid summer, they will have to play catch up but at least they are all here.

TOS said later this month. That was right before the rest of the recruits reported on 6-1-17, so just a couple weeks ago. There hasn't been an update since.

I'm pretty sure we'll know for sure the first week of July whether they make it in or not. Missing either would be a pretty big blow a year or two down the line IMO

I wasn't aware of any concerns of them making it in. I really hope so! That would be a huge blow.

I will never understand calling these kids studs.

Love Chipper, but don't understand the hate for Andruw. He was fun to watch in addition to being a baller.

If you threw anything low and away on AJ (especially when he already had 2 strikes on him) he would swing at it every time. Everyone knew it was coming but he swung anyways.

Got to see Chipper up close many a time in 1991 when he played for the Macon Braves. He hung out at one of the few college bars that existed back then a time or two as well but always had an entourage of sorts with him that chilled conversation. John Rocker OTOH was raised, at least in part, in Macon and was a very approachable nice guy.

Those were some great summers. Lots of unsung heroes like Belliard, SIIIID, Terry P, and the Lemmer. You had the flash in the outfield with Prime Time and Otis. And the stars that have already been mentioned here. We had an old wooden cabinet TV that we kept on the front porch to sit outside and watch the games. That thing weighed a ton and was bulky. Once or twice a week I would find it halfway to the street sitting in the front yard. I bet there's still lots of broke back porch thieves hobbling around Maconga.
