I just got a quick question that I was wondering about after reading this thread New Orleans QB Munchie Legaux talks Tennessee ? VolNation. Why is Tennessee recruiting Munchie so hard after not signing T Boyd last year and not trying hard for Brunetti? Do you guys think the coaches are recruiting him for QB, or are they just getting him for his pure athletic abilities? I'm mean, Munchie is a good Ht. He is 6'4 and Brunetti is only 6 foot. I don't know. Just curious to see what you guys thought. I know that T Boyd was supposedly caring some baggage or something like that.

It is a legit question to be honest.. I kind of wonder if there is still something going on with Boyd after his interview on 104.5.. I didn't hear the broadcast, just read about it..

Its really not the Boyd thing that has me thinking. I'm just confused with the Brunetti ordeal.

It seems to me that the recruiting of Brunetti and Legaux only got hot after Scroggins (and just about every other top Pro-Style qb) commited elsewhere. We may just be trying to get a big name for the purposes of drawing other recruits.

munchie is probably not being recruited as a qb, but as an athlete

Disagree...We could have taken Tahj Boyd as an athlete...Munchie has field of vision TB may have had trouble with. Reports on TB from CU are his arm strength is incredible. UT wiffed on Boyd.

He is not going to play QB at UT...he may come to UT, but not as a QB. If he does, he won't play.

Sorry to disappoint a lot of you but Legaux is being recruited here as a QB end of story. Im not his biggest fan but he is being pursued as a QB. Deny it all you want

It wouldn't make any sense to recruit him as anything other than a Qb. We wouldn't need him at wide receiver, we are getting better at that spot every day. Vols85 doesn't know what he is talking about.

I base my opinion on size, ability, accomplishments, and opportunity. What do you base your opinion on?
Sniffed out another pontificator, did ya. Good job :good!:

Gotta love all these self-appointed gurus here laying down the law with their guesswork opinions.
Sabanocchio is one of 'em and happens to be chewing a lot of shoe leather right now, saying the staff isn't interested. Somebody hand the man some ketchup, please...and maybe a stiff drink to wash it down with :eek:lol:

but no. boyd as an athlete? no chance. legaux will not be an sec quarterback. no chance. we'd be much better off with lamaison if it got that thin. i'm sure the school boyd signed with will have him returning punts? no.
