Multiple USCe O-Linemen out for Tennessee game

We don’t have a DB that can cover or tackle Legitt. I’m not buying the Vols are heavy favorites. Fool me once…
Whether our defense van stop them every play or not will be seen soon. They are completely one dimensional. They have the worst run game in the SEC (126th) and the worst overall defense in the SEC (120th) it will come down to which team can stop the other at all.

This is all setting up perfectly for SC to come out and run all over us...

Sorry, really bad BVS. It's just too perfect. They haven't been able to run the ball all year.
They are completely 1 dimensional right now. Only 5 teams are worse from a rushing standpoint, whereas UT is 8th in rushing.
On the defensive side, UT is tanked 42nd and USCjr is ranked 48th. Passing defense is markedly different. UT is somewhere in the upper middle in the NCAA, only 4 teams are worse than USCjr in pass defense. They are currently giving up over 300 yards per game vs UT at just over 190. In total defense, UT is 28th and USCjr is bottom 10.

Beamer has said it multiple times this year that they are missing dudes in the secondary, and are very young and inexperienced back there overall.

Can we take advantage of it. Can Joe atleast hit on 60% of his balls at 15+ yards? idk that answer to that. I know that Joe will play good enough to win on saturday. But Joe isnt going to take a game over like hooker did. And what i mean by that is, Hooker raised the level of play of his teammates around him. Joe isnt the type of player to do that. Joe needs everyone to play at a winning level in order for this offense as a whole to succeed. The O line needs to block, The RBs need to pick up blitzes, the wrs need to catch it when it hits them in the hands, etc, etc. Expecting Joe to be a game changer is just going to make you not like him, hes just not. Is he an athletic freak of nature. YES. but i think with people talking about this freak athleticism we expected more only to be a tad disappointed.

In SC’s defense, they have played legit competition. We’ve played 3 nobodies and Florida. So the discrepancy in numbers is exaggerated right now.

According to Beamer, this means that seven offensive linemen aren't practicing right now, drastically affecting how South Carolina can practice.
This should improve our chances, but I don’t like it if that’s why we win. That said, injuries are probably the only reason we escaped Pitt last year. We weren’t rolling yet.

That, and Rattler scrambling for first downs on 3rd and 10 miles. CAN NOT LET THOSE CONVERSIONS HAPPEN. ugh
Unfortunately they're gonna happen, and not because it's Rattler. We could have a group of wheelchair bound players on 3rd and long, and we'd give up the first down. It's just what we do🤣

Shocking that uscjr has players that got injured playing on their turf. Just shocking.

Yep, Juice Wells had 180 yards receiving vs us last year, his break out game. They will miss him but Legette is really good about 6'3" 225 and moves good kind of like Bru or Juan Jennings size wise
Legette is leading the FBS in receiving yards right now. We better be ready to clamp down on him.

Granted, but it does show that their defense isn't very good when they are against other offenses. Mississippi State isn't exactly tearing it up this year and they rolled offensively.
UNC - 417 total yards
Furman - 323 total yards
Georgia - 459 total yards (not elite now)
Miss State - 519 total yards

Tennessee
UVA - 201 total yards
AP - 339 total yards
Florida - 349 total yards
UTSA - 319 total yards

If you adjust for level of opponent, I would say we are still ahead overall. I do still consider our offense elite, BTW.

What am I missing? I don’t see any new injuries of significance. The one recent OL injury they referenced wasn’t even in their two deep.

That is actually worse for them. If their line is as bad as they have played and they aren't hurt, not good news for them. One our fans seem to forget is that we have been missing our best returning lineman in the first 4 games. I am pretty sure that Ollie Lane hasn't been great at making the line calls. Hopefully, Cooper Mays actually plays Saturday. I believe his increases the level of this line immediately upon his lining up.
