*****Multiple sources confirm Jeremy Pruitt is next Tennessee Head Coach

Show me a reliable source that says he has accepted. This board is not a reliable source. No other sources are reporting he has accepted. Expectations and confirmation are not the same. That being said I hope this is true.

Its like getting a C on finals after a 96 hour cocaine bender the weekend before. Not as good as you should have done had you prepared properly but not awful considering the circumstances.

Hiring a Bama grad to be the HC at UT isn't what a Vol fan/AD should do either.

Ashamed of Fulmer. This REEKS of Haslem stench.

Reeks of doing what's best for UT football. Born near Chattanooga, attended MTSU, played for a legendary high school coach (his father)in a state that actually values high school football, associated and succeeded in four elite southern (and American) football dynasties. And, now, the pinnacle of his career. Thank you, Alabama, for Richmond Flowers, Joey Kent, Tee Martin, and......Jeremy Pruitt.

And, thank you Phil Fulmer.

If you have to go the coord route, I at least would go with a D coord like Pruitt. Seems like they are able to fix things on that side of the ball quicker than an O coord can revamp an offense.

Leery of a another bama guy:Bill Battle,Dave Hart. His first loyalty test to me is to immediately become our coach and not wait till after playoffs.

You're unrealistic. The guy has a chance, which only comes along once in a lifetime usually & then most not at all, and you want to jerk the guy away from that for 2 freaking weeks? Get real--live in the real world. Two weeks isn't going to matter; there's still going to be recruits out there and he needs to evaluate who HE wants to recruit anyway.

Those of you that are excited, help me get there.

Why should I be pumped?

He has 6 NC rings. Hes worked for Saban and Jimbo Fisher and won titles at both schools. Hes never had a defense finish below 16th nationally as a DC. He's an elite recruiter AND hes from the south.

Good luck Coach Pruitt!

Hope that you retire as a VFL!

Average 9+ wins a year over 23 years =
Cumberland Avenue renamed “Pruitt Way”.

The first three years will be tough...

People want to compare him to Bill Battle??? Battle was 29 years old when he took over at Tennessee. He had nowhere near the experience needed to head a major college football team.:eek:k:
