I go to and post in the Gruden thread because that is the only group of Vol fans online that post with joy and expect greatness.

Try again. I would bet you we will be back at this hiring crap again in three seasons.

That explains a lot - you post in the Gruden thread. Unrealistic expectations

I will certainly support him until it is proven he can't get it done. He has an excellent reputation as a recruiter. His litmus test is getting one legacy de-commit to re-commit!

Or being tired of getting kicked in the nuts by the Dooleys and Joneses of the world.

I'm sorry I don't love mediocrity. That attitude probably reflects on your normal life, too.

An AD and group of boosters that don't monumentally eff us over.

An administration committed to backing the brinks truck to a great coach (like Bama did with Saban).

Minimal signs of give a damn from anyone at the school, really.

Petersen, Patterson, someone that wins. Someone proven.

A snowball has better chance in making it in hell than those two coming here.

Either hire him by 11:45 tonight or wait til Friday! Our last Pearl Harbor Day signed Coach didn't turn out so well (Butch).

Is it a homerun? We don't know yet, but he has the potential to be really good if not great based on previous results.

He has agreed to deal per Hyams
Alabama DC Jeremy Pruitt has accepted the job as Tennessee's new coach. Details are still being ironed out, sources said, but the deal is basically done. He has coached in Alabama HS ranks for 8 years and in college for 11 years, 8 at Alabama

Defense wins championships....
Welcome Pruitt A+ Hire

If the choice was a retread like Les Miles, another mid-major HC with an okay record, or an upcoming coordinator who is a great recruiter, knows the SEC, and has connections in pipeline states...I know who I’m going with. We’ve tried guys who have HC experience, they haven’t worked out. It’s time to try something different. At worst Pruitt will leave the program better than he found it and will stock is with talent. Based on how he recruits and how he schemes, his ceiling is winning national championships. Just like with every school though, we need to open the wallet to get the guy whatever staff he wants. Start raiding staffs!

You mean like Bob Stoops, Robert Neyland, Lincoln Riley, Smart or Dabo?

Love how people are using the same argument that was used for Martin for Pruitt now.

I’m on board with Bama Jeremy.
