Hate to quote myself, but to add a note.It was obviously not Mullen's intention but his actions caused that whole mess to boil over.. He acted like a raving idiot. For a head coach of a major university, it was an incredibly stupid thing to do and should've received a hefty fine to send a message.
The fine was a joke.
That was my point. Maybe incites his players to riot is a poor choice of words, but that whole melee doesn't happen without his reaction. I wonder if Pruitt's loyalty to JG will have the same effect.Hate to quote myself, but to add a note.
Not that it was necessary, but what Mullen did is a very effective way to show his players he has 'their back'. Players will play to their limit for a coach that shows that kind loyalty.. That kind of effort would be worth any fine incurred.....
It was odd that Pruitt and a couple other coaches got fined for masks while Florida had to postpone the LSU game because of an outbreak.Pruitt gets fined $100,000 for improperly wearing a mask.

Sankey is not even trying to hide his bias at this point.
If Saban did what Mullen did, he would get a $25,000 raise.
F&^% Stankey. He has really disappointed over the last several months!Pruitt gets fined $100,000 for improperly wearing a mask.

I agree. Also I don't think he should be suspended but the fine should have been very stiff...That was my point. Maybe incites his players to riot is a poor choice of words, but that whole melee doesn't happen without his reaction. That whole thing was on him.

Don’t you know there’s different standards for Tennessee? We continue to get screwed by the SEC.Pruitt gets fined $100,000 for improperly wearing a mask.

Pruitt’s actions were premeditated. Mullens actions were spontaneous over a dirty hit. I respect him for that. Pruitt had some passion at times the first couple of years but I don’t remember him getting fired up this year very much. Maybe the unsportsmanlike two weeks ago but what else?Pruitt gets fined $100,000 for improperly wearing a mask.

For a head coach of a major university, Mullen's actions were childish, ignorant and ignited a brawl. I'm sure a brawl was not his intention but he should've been slapped with a very large fine.Pruitt’s actions were premeditated. Mullens actions were spontaneous over a dirty hit. He let the refs know of his displeasure with a blatantly blown call. His team was fired up and they put the Mizzou game out of reach in the 3rd quarter. And Mizzou got hit with a borderline personal foul call early in the 3rd quarter. Was he over the top? Sure. Did he succeed in his objective? Absolutely
That's different than what we do when we get the shaft officiating wise. We sit and play nice and watch it happen again and again and again....
