Volnation,

I know that CJP has caught a ton of crap over staying at BAMA to finish their season and coming here full time since he was introduced. I personally do not feal that way. I really respect that CJP decided to finish what he started with the kids he recruited. I think this is going to mean something to a top recruit in the years to come. That his family can believe what he is saying because he is a man of character. I don't expect him to win a natty within 2 years here but I do expect him to do what he says and bring my beloved university back to its place among the top programs in the country.

I don't want BAMA to win ever but I am not stupid and the level of success the program has had is unbelievable. If we can take some of that and mulitilpy it here in KTown we are going to be in business.

I love my vols forever.

I would of rather he didn't. Whatever. Hopefully the National championship game gets canned or something

I appreciate the man FINISHING his work at Bama, and congratulate him and that fine team.
I'm also pleased to see that the National Championship will be determined by finding out WHICH S.E.C. team plays the better game next weekend.

Agreed. He made a commitment to his players this season, and he's following through. He'll bring that same commitment to Tennessee. I'm more excited about this hire than I was about Kiffin, Dooley, or Jones. Only time will tell, but I think we got a good one.

Pruitt was working late Sunday night (day before semi final) for Tenneessee interviewing staff. He is a worker and a football coach.

Scott Frost did the same thing. I respect that they more or less gave a "2 week notice", and finished what they started.

If he brings a consistent defensive intensity that I have not seen at UT since Al Wilson/Leonard Little was here...no disrespect to Barnett.

The D that Pruitt controlled at Bama made Clemson look totally impotent and pathetic.

That's the kind of tough D I want my Tennessee footVol Team to have!

I also heard Pruitt mentioned and talked about several times as the Tennessee Vols new HC on the TV last night and that was damn good PR for our Vols and you can bet that many top high school recruits heard that too.

Keeping his word and completing this season for the bammers was the right thing to do and we're getting good PR for Tennessee at the same time and it'll be good for our recruiting too.

CJP and his staff are getting good work done for our Vols so you silly crybabies need to relax and stop whining about this.

We'll get more good PR during the National Championship game with more top high school kids watching too.

I hate Bama and UGa but if Pruitts D makes UGa look as pathetic as they did Clemson then Tennessee will see some rewards from the PR we get during that game too.

VFL...GBO!!!

Where is his commitment to Tennessee?

He is demonstrating where his loyalty lies and it is not with Tennessee.

I don't see Tennessee playing in a bowl game. Tennessee's season has been done for a while now. Pruitt will have them ready for next season. Don't you worry.

Bama has lots of injuries on d esp at lb.
Will be interesting to see if they can keep Chubb and Michel from breaking runs like they did vs ou.

To me, and I would hope to anyone that is capable of taking the Big Orange blinders off for a moment he is demonstrating his character and commitment to finishing the job.

I would much rather him finish like this than the way Kiffin did last year. And to think we had lots of fans that wanted Kiffin back.

Yes, while he's been away, Fulmer made an addition to the weight room. If only Pruitt had stayed close to UT this would have never had happened. :birgits_giggle:

UCF should end up second or third.

Learning how to shut down Clemson is good training if we want him to accomplish at Tennessee. So is learning how to stop Georgia. We need this information, if I look at recent results in Knoxville.

We get game plan value for this week and last.

...If you care about Tennessee wining in the future.

I don't think there's anyway they run on Bama like they did OU. They'll still pop some long runs but not like a hot knife through butter like in the rose bowl. As far as Pruitt coaching Alabama in the playoffs, he's from Alabama and played there. No matter how much it sucks for us Tennessee fans there's no way he's just going to walk out on what has to feel like family to him. In the grand scheme of things I don't think it matters to how good or bad he'll do at UT. Hopefully he can pull some Bama recruits our way.

He was committed to TN for 2 years. Claimed to be a VFL many times. There was a time when a man's word was a commitment. Why do people keep defended this guy?
