'26 MS WR Tristen Keys (Tennessee commit)

Tristen Keys dropped slightly to No. 19 nationally in the updated Rivals 300 rankings. However, he is now listed as the No. 2 WR prospect behind Jase Matthews.

Keys has not played yet this season though due to injury.
It seems the arbitrary reasons for which they drop or raise prospects in their little rankings system would immediately illustrate to everyone how worthless their rankings truly are. The Pro-Bowl is littered with 2-stars every year and those ranking systems are DESIGNED to predict where these guys go in the NFL Draft. There are 32 5-stars because there are 32 first round picks. It's ridiculous.

Individual player rankings are not the end all, be all but coaches are judged by fans on where they finish in the team recruiting rankings every cycle so to say rankings don't matter at all is foolish.

It's frustrating when one particular service seems to drop players once they commit to UT (On3):

- G Mac was a 5 Star before committing
- David Sanders was No. 1 OT before committing
- Faizon was No. 1 QB before committing
- Keys was No. 1 WR before committing

Moa, Wyatt, Rouse and Hezekiah Harris all dropped in the updated rankings today as well.

IMO On3 just tries to predict the NFL draft. They aren't ranking players based on talent or college impact, which is Tennessee's main concern. Other staffs have a better history of having high draft picks at certain positions and On3 gives them the benefit of the doubt imo. That will change soon.

Fans are also stupid tho so who cares if coaches are judged by them

It is. It’s no conspiracy. They dropped Faizon and now dropped Tristan. It’s hilarious to watch. Maybe they need to go look at Nico’s QB class and realize how much they suck at evaluating.
Faizon is still the #1 overall player on 247
