We're always 2nd choice with these high profile players. Damn it would feel good if we could move the needle a hair. Could yall imagine the classes we'd put together.

Yes it will. We may have some talented guys in that room, but from a pure numbers standpoint it’s a weakness. I hope and pray it doesn’t happen, but we could easily be using a majority of walkons during practice midway through the season

Nico also says hello. I'm just saying, every single year, we have high caliber players that have us as 2nd choice. It'd be crazy if we actually got who we get PLUS the guys that have us at 2nd every year. Imagine what we could do with classes like GA, Ohio state, Bama, etc. Instead of these middle of the pack classes.

You mean like 9-4 Alabama that we've won 2 out of the last 3 and that lost to 3 unranked teams? That Alabama??

Not this cycle. We have hit on a high percentage of who we wanted.

Come on, man. You know what he means. Bama has been in the playoffs every year w/ last season being only exception.

He’s just saying this class would be nasty (extra special) if we land Keys. It would be nice to land this young man.

We’ve won some recruiting battles and hopefully win more with continuous success on the field.

We just come at it from the UT perspective. GA, Bama and Ohio State finish second for lots of good players too, we just don't know about it cause we're UT fans.
Those three schools do get who they want more than us right now, because they have been in the title picture more than us.

It astonishes me how we can think that going after the elite players should result in a high success rate of getting commitments. If the players are elite and elite programs are throwing the kitchen sink to sign them, then it is obvious that you are going to miss on some. And we have done fairly well the last couple years. And this year we seemed to have a high success rate getting commitments from the guys we really wanted. Next class has started quite well in that regard too. How does it make sense that we would go after the best of the best and not lose some of those recruiting battles?

That's what you got out of that post? Ok dum dum, gonna explain this one time for the drama queen of VN( You know it, as does everyone else). . What I was responding to is, dude acts like we couldn't compete with them until we start landing classes as good as theirs. We've obviously shown that's not the case,since we've won 2 of the last 3 vs Ala and made the playoffs last year..While they didn't. Not 1 time did I say they were a bottom tier team. Actually, please show me where I said that! I'll be waiting,Karen!
