'26 MS WR Tristen Keys (Tennessee commit)

I’ve felt like he’s (his agent) has been leveraging us and A&M against LSU for NIL for some time now. Hope I’m wrong but never had my hopes up.
I think the relationship with Pope is definitely there. Is it enough to swing him? Who knows. Kid has said we lead before he committed.

I really really really hope this isnt a carnell 2.0
If it is Pope needs to go for getting suckered in twice. Unless we see significant improvement by the WRs, and by significant improvement I mean we go for 3k yards in the air in conference play

no but I referenced earlier last week AB has taken a lot of my information and shared it to the VQ. I know I'm not as legit as Stoerner but he has been copying and pasting a lot of our stuff

Lmao what info do you bring? You just make stuff up or copy and paste quotes from On3.

This board will melt down if we miss on both Keys and Hiter.
Don’t think that happens. If they miss on Hiter every penny they had allocated for him will likely go to Keys. I would sure hope so at least when you consider our entire RB room should be back next year. So spending that on a portal RB would be a horrible decision

Not being a clown at all. If he hasn’t been able to evaluate, land, and develop a 1000 yard receiver after 4 years of being he there’s no reason to keep him. Now if we do one or the other he’s bought some time. If fails to do both though he has to go. Because if you can’t get it done in 4 years another year isn’t going to help. People tend to forget this was his first WR job. There’s a VERY good chance he’s just not qualified for the job. Especially when you look at how bad Halzle has been as well

No offense, but that’s not a huge leap. This board melts down when our WRs drop a pass against air and media blurs out a player that allegedly threw an interception in practice. (Btw, the blurred player was Kits)
Yeah not a conspiracy of significance. Now Grumors, those were the conspiracies of legends.

Even if we landed Keys you and several other Vol fans would give up on him if he doesn’t light it up after his first. It’s already happening with Matthews and Staley. Everybody was fired up when we got their commitments. Now a after 1 year they apparently suck.

pretty much if you are not a 1,000 yard receiver you are labeled as suck

You’re definitely not wrong there, but there’s a reason for that and it’s because no number 1 overall receiver has ever not set the world on fire as a true freshman. Also it’s too early to tell with Staley, but at the moment Mike Matthews is a bust. The only other top 10 receiver that had an equally bad or worse freshman year was Micah Hudson, and he’s transferred twice already

You don’t seem to realize that while a coaching staff could theoretically do that, it would be insanely stupid. You’d have a revolt amongst the other WR’s and even other position players that would immediately want far more money.

Hopefully he doesn’t listen to Thornton who threw Heup under the bus again recently; evidently blaming our offense on the fact he rounds out his breaks and below average coming out of a break, which is why he only ran slants, posts and go routes. Why run an in or out or dig if your wr can’t run it right.

Everything is pretty much the same as it was w/Keys. The restructuring deal took place a bit ago and just now getting to the outlets. These recruiting “insiders” only state what’s ok to say. No one knows what’s going on behind the scenes. It’s pure speculation for views/$$$. Basically, it’s all still open and Vols staff was aware of it then, and now. I still think he will end up here. But that’s just me…they’re young kids, anything could happen.

So if we don’t go for 3k yards in the air in conference play that’s somehow Popes fault?

You just proved my point. Your point about other receivers in the top 10 WR recruit rankings is false btw. To say MM is a bust after 1 year is absurd.

Haven’t seen any posters saying this about Staley and Mathews.
Where do you agitators come up with this crapola?
