However, I was talking to an On3 guy here in Nashville. He explained how that the adidas deal is more than just straight apparel money and that it will really help with direct Tennessee NIL contracts.

I think that could be relevant here.

LSU receiver commit Tristen Keys and his camp continue to have regular dialogue with Tennessee and the Vols remain in the thick of it for the five-star out of Hattiesburg (Miss.) High.

They’re the biggest threat with the likes of Texas A&M, Miami and others working to stay alive. The Adidas deal with Tennessee has also caused a stir with Keys being an Adidas athlete himself.

On the flip side of that, Keys remains in regular contact with the LSU staff and outside of the normal recruitment of a high-profile commit still keeping the communication lines warm with other programs, there doesn’t seem to be much concern around Baton Rouge.
