Not to mention, the 'coach preparation' aspect is very overestimated. Don't make the job of helping a player become a better WR into rocket science. There could be an idiot that doesn't know what he is doing and hinders a player. But at this level that is going to be rare. What needs to be taught is going to be taught at most every major school. Not a single coach on LSU’s current staff had anything to do with Jamarr Chase. I’m not sure why people keep using him as an example. There are others that can be used and I’m not denying that but using Chase is lazy.
Good effort. But not exactly accurate. There is no issue with opinions. There is no "agenda" that needs to be followed. The opinions that get scrutinized are basically all opinions that either 1) are completely fabricated with no factual basis or 2) are fake opinions meant solely to get a reaction.![]()
Why flipping 5-star WR Tristen Keys from the LSU Tigers just got more difficult for the Tennessee Vols
2026 five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys is one of the Tennessee Vols' top remaining recruiting targets. Keys, 6-foot-3/180 lbs from Hattiesburg, MS, has been committed to the LSU Tigers since March. He's rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 4 overall player...sports.yahoo.com
Sorry for the long winded post yesterday but if u cant have an opinion then what's the point of a message board?Sadly if u don't agree with masses,ur just a troll or should be banned lol...I realize its not the message but how its delivered so my apologizes, could have done better with that part.At the same there's a good reason we have 68,000 members and only 2% even post or are active.Yall will eat your own with no hesitation if what ppl say doesn't line up with the agenda, and it takes away from what is an excellent site unfortunately..
I asked AP yesterday, he said this didn't factor in too much in his opinion![]()

You're likely right, but it is at least notable that his two thought-to-be suitors, should he decommit from LSU, are Texas A&M (an Adidas school) and Tennessee (a soon-to-be Adidas school). Probably just a coincidence, but maybe not. Miami was also high on his list. Also an Adidas school. So did Jeremiah Smith.
He portaling here since OSU is a Nike school?![]()
If we get keys I wouldn’t think it’s bc of apparel affiliation.
To be fair, kids don't always see it that way. They see all these amazing WRs LSU has put in the NFL over the last decade plus. Their locker rooms and sports facilities have pictures and wall art from these guys splattered everywhere. And LSU keeps churning out early round WRs regardless who has been HC over the last 20 years. It's a tactic that pretty much every school uses. You can be sure the Bama is still pimping up all the Saban era guys, even though Saban is no longer there. Not a single coach on LSU’s current staff had anything to do with Jamarr Chase. LSU has had some great wide outs. But even when we were down we have produced good receivers. Under Pruitt we had Jennings, Calloway, and Palmer with Tillman and Hyatt on the bench. They may not be as good as chase/Jefferson, but those are 5 NFL wideouts on one team.To be fair, kids don't always see it that way. The difference is the name recognition, relevance, and star power. Most 15, 16, 17-year olds couldn't individually pick any of those 5 guys out of a one-man lineup. Chase, Jefferson, Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas...those are arguably four of the best 15 WRs in the NFL, today.LSU has had some great wide outs. What makes anyone think that anything historical trumps today’s relationships, with CURRENT staff and peer recruits? Never know how any single recruit weighs ALL the factors involved in HIS process. Has he dropped any hints? That's certainly noteworthy. But it isn't quite the same appeal as Chase, Jefferson, Nabers, and Thomas, who are all elite level WRs. And that says nothing of guys older guys like OBJ and Landry, who really started the run on LSU WRs.
I am not saying that's the case here at all. But it also isn't something you can completely dismiss. Teams are all the time talking about being "WRU" or "DBU" or whatever, often times pointing back to players decades and several coaches ago. It's a recruiting pitch and some kids do indeed eat it up.What makes anyone think that anything historical trumps today’s relationships, with CURRENT staff and peer recruits? But why use so many column inches in specific recruits thread about general stuff? It is always great to have position bragging history, but it is possible this is at the bottom of his Ben Franklin T. I am hoping A relationship with FB is more important and money is comparable.I am not saying that's the case here at all. But it also isn't something you can completely dismiss.
