so what your saying is they are like the cubs, the whole its gonna happen crap. well its not going to for them both.

This happens every year. This year the Cats are going to win because blah, blah, blah.......etc.

I've already been told by several friends ( UK fans ) that this is their year because Ainge is gone and the UK defense will run wild on UT this year. :eek:hmy:

My wife just got a job that will move us to Owensboro, KY. I am a born an bred Tennessean, and an alum of UT. Please someone give me advice on how to survive the Blue Mist! To top it off, her grandfather played football for KY and his public enemy #1 is the Big Orange. Please help Orange brethren!!!!!

Not only does Kentucky have a state income tax, but I think a few cities up there have municiple income tax, as well. If that is true, then I pity you more concerning that then dealing with some Wildcats...

Egads. Owensboro, eh? I'm sorry, man. I live just across the river from Owensboro.

UK fans, especially football fans, won't be uppity until the streak is broken. So you won't have much to worry about. Pearl, however, isn't very well liked in Owensboro. His USI teams clashed many, many times with Kentucky Wesleyan.

It wont be bad trust me, UK fans aren't that bad, I'm in Kentucky right now visiting family...No one has said anything yet, they dont really care, unless your a UL fan...

That's true. I may not have much love for Tennessee, but I hate Louisville and Indiana.

Does anyone have any family from Kentucky that they spend Thanksgiving with? I do, and beating them gets funnier and funnier every year

If a Kentucky fan brings up anything just point out the longest current winning streak in the country and they will be sure to change the subject.

My wife graduated from Wesleyan and went to school during their run when they battled USI for Div.IIA championships, now her employer will be USI. She hates CBP, thinks he is cocky - I tell her "your point?" You are right everyone hates CBP in Owensboro.

I do. They consider me the "black sheep" of the family. My family is one of two, either UK fans or UL fans.

My 12 year old son has come around to the Orange side though. :good!:

There used to be a place called Moonlight BBQ in Owensboro. Awesome BBQ. Of course that was about 17 years ago...
Just wear orange, be prepared for the inevitable day when UK gets lucky and beats us in football, and remember to talk s-l-o-w-l-y.

Hopefully I will be moving back to Kentucky here before long.

My sister lived in Owensboro for 5 years, let me know if you need any thing and I will help you out if I am able.

Still there, Owensboro claims to be the barbeque capitol of the world!

Also, Davies County has the best schools in the state!

Hopefully we will be moving there also!

look on the bright side, when you move to Owensboro, you'll no longer have to deal with the snobbery of the Vanderbilt folks.
