Not to say Rogers is not a great talent, I know he is. But look at our position last year. Our obvious star WR goes down(wasn't Rogers.......just sayin), right after that our (would be/should be) star QB goes down. We were left with a few backups that were less than impressive. Da'rick could get open....making it easy (but obviously not easy enough) for the backup QB's to toss the ball to him. The Kentucky game....lets hope that was a crazy fluke

-This year We have a very underrated QB (at least in Fantasy)
-We have some amazing WR's (even without Da'rick)
-Our running game could surprise some people

All I'm trying to say is that we can still have a good season on our way back to the top and one dude catching a football shouldn't influence that as much as it is being talked about. He is not the only person on the team that knows how to get open, and Bray can throw to an open receiver, you can't deny that. Are we going to SHINE this year? Maybe, Maybe not, but I think we can take steps towards moving to the top.

It's gonna be a good season. Just not the great one some of us thought it could be.

Most likely but hell it could still be great.

That's why they play the games I guess. I'm still hyped for the season. I truly expect one of the freshmen to step up and have a JH type of freshman year. Here's to hoping!

It will be bad no matter what. I'm just hoping for damage control. DR was a beast, no way to get around that.

it will deffinately take some time. if not an entire season. put up or shut up DD!

Yep. This is the year to judge him. I was hoping they made him walk back to Knoxville after the KY game, but now I hope he succeeds because I love the VOLS, and don't won't to take yet another step back through another coaching change, and the attrition that inevitably accompanies it. Here's to hoping for atleast a 8 win season.

I sat outside, and broke branches off a
tree I trimmed trying to stay busy to get
away from what was happening. All I
could think about was busting KY fans in
the nose. I couldn't even wrap my mind
over what was happening. The streak
was bound to end, but damn!!! Against
that **** team they fielded????? I still
can't fathom it!

I was upset because it was the first
coaching change I ever went through as
a fan. He needed to go, but it still upset
me a bit. I still get mad when clowns
clown him on here. He brought us a
national championship. Not many non
bandwaggoner fans can witness that. I
thought it would happen every ten years.
Wow, how I was wrong! He gave his all for UT, wish people would not joke on
him.

Well. I doubt many will share our view, but that's what makes a place like this good, I guess. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

He still is a Volunteer (I can't say V4L, just sounds as cheesy as the woo in rocky top). The man truly gave his all for Tennessee.

This reminds me of what was it, 1990 or something like that? We had arguably the top two running backs in the nation in one backfield: Cobb/Webb. We were undefeated, largely due to the running game and that most precious naked bootleg that Sterling Henton ran at the end of the GA game to stay undefeated. ANd we had a great defense. It was Bama week and Reggie Cobb failed like his fifteeist drug test and gets booted off the team. At least we got to watch them for 5 games. That was magical. I too would have loved to have seen Dayrick and the rest of them together. But, let's face it, we all knew it wasn't going to last. Bad grades (even though he's a self-proclaimed smart guy), getting suspended for temper tantrums, dropping a pass to lose to SC and the KY game. Wouldve not been eligible for the bowl game so he tanks it in the KY game. I mean, let's face it, Halls couldve beaten KY last year. So, why are we surprised? Honestly, why do we even care at this point? There's so many red flags about him that this is like "saw that one coming".

I really hope he gets his act together. He seems like a nice guy and could probably be somebody in the NFL. I swear, seeing that former VOL getting shot last week, and how some of the others that turned out the way that they have breaks my heart. They're too young to realize what they have and how easy it can get taken away.

Good luck Darick.
