That's all I buy now and have since went back and upgraded the vast majority of DVD's to Blu at first I thought it can't be that much better than DVD until I saw it for myself!

I've had people tell me they have Blu-ray and can't see a difference. Then find out they don't have the Blu-ray player and HDTV properly connected with an HDMI cable that allows for high definition!

How many do you currently have? I started collecting about a year and a half ago. I've got 220 so far.

I think I've got around 350  (Its a sickness!)

Some of these are in combo sets like the 23 film Bond 50 set and a few other combo packs/sets. That's also counting about about 20 TV show sets!)

Just got Black Swan & Patton in the mail yesterday from a Foxconnect 50% off sale and my brother picked up Gravity for me this morning and I still need to pick up Thor: The Dark World.

If you have that many you may already know about it but checkout Blu-ray.com its a great place to keep track of your library and on all the upcoming releases and another site I recently joined is Letterboxd.com/ both sites are free to join! :good!:

I was about to mention bluray.com. I post on there occasionally, but mainly just use it to add my movies and look for good deals. My username is the same as VN.

I opted to buy all the Bond blus individually when they rereleased them a couple of months ago. Not really big on box sets. I plan to pick up Capt. Phillips, Thor, Gravity, Hunger Games, Dallas Buyers Club soon. Also, I'm sure you saw Garden State comes out Tuesday. Beyond excited!

Edit: we should get a "Bluray/DVD deals/discussion" thread going in here so not to hijack this one.

Robocop (2014) 6.8 out of 10

The shortcoming of robots is obvious they don't feel anything if they shot a kid armed with a knife, or anyone else. As robots they are designed once seeing the word threat to respond with violence.

I saw it tonight. There was a long intro not the same amount as the departed but possibly close.
Samuel l Jackson kicks as Novak a straight shooter no holds bar with his own tv show. With a negative result sam has trademark scene of I can't believe this crap happened.
Two dirty cops won't be surprised if when you see a early scene.
Since Murphy's body was in critical condition from the explosion the suit was to keep him alive as the burns were very severe.
Robocop's main gun a Star Wars style since it has the kill level, or stun level a great taser.
Edge of your seat climax, and the theme seemed mostly the same.

Michael keaten as sellers the main villain proves to be great as the main villain. The mastermind kind of villain that proves capable of manipulating or deceiving others.
Jackie earl Hayley is the tester of robots with gun shooting in the style of paintball, and the right hand man of Sellers. Also proves to be great.

References to original movies with suspect last name Cain, silver suit, bust in a drug factory, and lines.
Interesting question since a change was made to give Robocop robot reflexes but Robocop is still under the impression he's in control not computers who's responsible if he shoots a non threat.

If you want to shoot a movie with lots of gun shooting you won't be disappointed while this doesn't have blood like the original still a violent movie this includes ripping off a robots head yeah undeniably that's freakin violent.

The Ed 209s prove to not be chumps when fighting Robocop.
Robocop a super computer that can access cameras seeing those areas, see the words emotion of a person whether cooperative, nervous, etc so able to anticipate a move which was shown. Also access of files of humans, and cellphones.

The Counselor
4/10

Gigantic waste of a really good cast- Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bradem, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz.

Captain Phillips
8/10
Much better than I expected.

The Family: 8 out of 10

Much better than I expected. Starts out somewhat slow, but turns into a great movie. DeNiero does a great job

Where Eagles Dare - One of my favorite WWII movies, but it's been years since I've seen it. I finally realized just how over the top the final fight/chase was.

Finally saw Gravity on Blu Ray (I bought the 3d version cause I have a 3D TV but didn't realize you need a 3D blu ray player as well - was kinda bummed about that).

Fantastic and groundbreaking filmography; space has never been portrayed like this in films before. The continuous long and wide angle shots really gave me the feeling of being in space and watching from a 1st person perspective.

Best space flick since Apollo 13. I'm not a big Sandra Bullock fan but she was great in this. Clooney's character was amusing but a bit over the top, IMO. (he was a little too cool when crap was hitting the fan)

I give it a 9/10.

 you have to have a 3D player but you can also use a PS3 if it's a newer model and/or has the correct firmware installed.

They actually aren't all that expensive anymore and can be found right around $100 bucks or even cheaper. A guy I follow on Youtube even found one recently at a Goodwill for under $30!

12 years a Slave - 9/10

Lone survivor - 7/10

Gravity- 8/10

American Hustle- 7/10

All is lost- 8/10

Escape Plan-6/10

So glad Jared Leto won an Oscar. I'm really pulling for Leo to finally get one, but I'm also hoping McConaughey gets it.

I just watched Captain Phillips and it is instantly top 5 movies I have ever seen. I am usually favorable to documentaries and based on true story type movies.

Worth two watches really. Tom Hanks was just best of the best.
