Yep. Also for me seeing the 80's cars, fashion, etc. was entertaining. There was a brief scene with a Pontiac Starfire like my friend had all through college.

Finally, it was filmed at Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh - I used to go there as a kid and it's really THE amusement park I compare all others too. I spent much of the movie trying to identify things I remembered from there.

Overall, it was a good flick. I liked Kristen Stewart too...

I watched "The Sure Thing" for the first time in 20 years a couple of days ago. It stars John Cusack and Daphne Zuniga. You could see even then why cusack ranks up their in my mind with the likes of Downy JR. and Depp as the best actors of this generation.

Just watched Appaloosa. The first hour started off really good. The last 30 min of the 2nd hour were a little weird and boring.

Watched Zack & Miri last night and it was good but not what I thought it would be. However, the deleted scene with "Bubbles" had us rolling

fell asleep during that one. It just got really slow

Recent movies:

Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 (8/10) - Very entertaining movie. Wanst a masterpiece by any standards but I thought they did a good job with it. I loved Travolta's way over the top character. For mindless entertainment this is a good movie

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (9/10) - One of the better westerns I've seen. I thought it was a very good movie

Major Leage (7/10) - It was your average sports comedy but it was a funny story and very enjoyable

Average sports comedy? They don't make anything like Major League anymore. Definitely a 9+ movie for me, personally.

Not a good excuse at all. The movie plays on TV all the time.

Major League is right there with Caddy Shack as the best sports comedies of all time.

Watched "Yes Man" last night...it was okay but I could swear I saw the same movie only it was called "Liar, Liar".
