watched "Enemy At The Gates". Good movie and you can definitely see where some of the levels for Call of Duty 2 came from.

on that same line, "Aliens" was obviously the inspiration for much of the human technology in Halo.

Watched 'Special' with Michael Rapapport today. Strange, low budget indie film he made a few years ago. Opens in NY this weekend. Seems it's been in limbo for awhile with publisher problems, etc.

I thought it was a really good movie. It's dark and fairly depressing, but I thought it was quite interesting. If you get a chance to see it, I'd recommend it.

Premise is he takes part in an experimental clinical trial for a new drug. It gives him super powers and he becomes a superhero.

Watched The Great Gatsby with Robert Redford last night and really enjoyed it, although there were some weird closeups throughout. The lady that played Jordan was really hot and I learn Mia Farrow was too, back then.

Checked out Australia over the weekend.
It's like a cross between Pearl Harbor and Gone With The Wind.With a little Aboriginal magic thrown in.

GOOD MOVIE.

I was at the in laws and was catching up on some movies. A couple I watched was Sweeny Todd and I am Legend.

Nothing really to right home about.....

Actually I thought that Sweeny Todd was a very good movie. I'm not a musical type of guy at all but was just floored by the acting of Depp especially in this movie. Plus I'm a big fan of Alan Rickman and I thought that Timothy Spall was dead on as the Beatle. The whole cast IMO for that movie was done well and to know that they all actually sung their own parts was pretty amazing.

I just watched Penny Dreadful yesterday On Demand. Let's just say its pretty, well, dreadful. Its a paint by number flick that really didn't offer much. I kept expecting something earth shattering to happen and sadly it didn't. At least Rachel Miner is easy on the eyes.

Watched Get Smart over the holiday week. Not bad...for what it was.
Watched Team America and Cashback yesterday. Lots of nudity in Cashback. The movie was okay too.

Watched Transsiberian Sunday. Pretty good. Part of the ending was slightly dissapointing though. Still a good movie.

Watched Casino, Sgt. York, and 88 minutes over the last few days. Casino never gets old to me for some reason. I never thought I would see a movie with more F bombs in it than Scarface till that one came out. Sgt. York is a classic IMO, take it for what it is worth. 88 minutes could have been made by my dog.

Decent story, kinda predictable. Good acting.

Hellboy II 4/10
I just don't get it.

Starship Troopers 3 5/10
Alot better than the 2nd one, still doesn't live up to the first one although the main actor from the first one is back.

Meet Dave 2/10
Quite possibly the worst Eddie Murphy movie I've ever seen.

The Incredible Hulk 8/10
This is the one they should have made instead of the 2003 flick Hulk.

Iron Man 7/10
Decent, needed more action, it is Iron Man after all.

The Last Legion 8/10
I'm a sucker for medieval type movies. This is based on the origin of the Excalibur sword. Good watch

I haven't seen Meet Dave, but I'm pretty sure it isn't as bad as Norbit.
