I've said it once and I'll say it again, remakes are as old as Hollywood. It isnt a new thing. Tons of movies that are considered classics are remakes.

This. You'd be surprised that some movies are remakes. They just happen to be hit and miss. Some are great, but many are worse than the original.

And on top of that, even if a movie isn't an actual remake, many plot elements are copied in movies. The Fast and the Furious might as well be a remake of Point Break since other than switching surfing for street racing, it's the same basic story.

Besides the "remake" is out of style. The new think is a "reboot" or "reimagining".
