As I look forward to the Spring game, it made me wonder what is the worst injury we've suffered in the Spring (practice or Orange and White game)?

I remember the sound of Peerless Price's ankle snapping (and he had on a green jersey). I thought Peyton was going to kill the db that tackled him.

I'm drawing a blank on other significant injuries - what other injuries do you remember?

I know it was just last year but loosing 2 experienced Defensive lineman who were likely starters hurt pretty bad. I have to believe that we would have played considerably better had they been healthy.

True, forgot about that. I've tried to block out the last few years :birgits_giggle:

Do you mean Walls/Martin? Think those two actually occurred in August (point remains, though). Think we've had some ACL's in the spring in the last few years. DB last year, shoot, I can't recall the name. The CB who was 'almost' ready to play by the end of last year?

Nyshier Oliver (sp?) right?

Wasn't there a full back named Hubert , that had a nasty ACL tear a few years ago? They showed it on the 6 o clock news and it looked painful to say the least.

David Holbert, that was effectively a career ending injury. Very sad, his mom used to post here if I'm not mistaken.

Holbert is that guy whose picture has been posted on here several times - his knee is literally bent completely the wrong way that it looks like it's fake/photoshopped. It was terrible.

Yeah, I think you are right. I think it occurred early in fall camp. My bad.

I was at the orange and white game that Peerless was hurt in. Peyton wasn't the only person in the stadium that wanted to punch that db. It honestly still makes me sick to think about how I felt when it happened.

Looking at things like that makes my skin crawl. Like that Bama player in the endzone from a few years back.

Please explain the Peerless Price injury. Was he hit late or something????

He was wearing a no-contact jersey and ran a go pattern (if I remember correctly). He had about 2 steps on the db when he caught the pass and the db dove for a tackle. There was a loud pop and the next thing you know Peerless is on the grown thriving in pain. Broken ankle - surgery, long rehab, etc.
