Most Overrated

Someone will probably prove me wrong with his stats ( I think he had 1200-1300 yds), but I never understood the hype around Maurice Clarette.

Sure he was good, but all the announcers and networks pushed him as if he were the next Herschel Walker or Bo Jackson.

Well, he did help lead OSU to a national title in his only season there. Herschel Walker he wasn't, but he would have been a great one had he not tried to rewrite the NFL rulebook on who can go to the draft.

People, I hate to break this to you...but Taylor Mays is actually overrated. He's made out to be some physical cover safety when in all reality he is a linebacker playing safety and gets caught out of position more times than not.

Exactlyyyy i love how everyone says Taylor Mays is overrated.. Really makes my day haha. But idk if you can call it overrated but i'd have to say Lennon Creer.. Idk if i spelled it right but he was a bust..

I'd say Riggs got caught in Fulmer's "seniors play first" rule. Can't remember who he played behind his first two years and am too lazy to research but almost certain they were pretty darn good. Definitely not a bust.

Cedric Houston and Jabari Davis made up that tandem

Jamarcus Russell was... truly a lot worse than Ryan Leaf. and a #1 pick.

I always used to have this argument with my friend and say "Well, Russell never got in trouble with the LAW!"

Uh... scratch that.

As a Pro Player, Leaf was worse. There is a great comparison of the two somewhere on Yahoo Sports. In pretty much every statiscal category, Leaf was significantly worse. Which is saying something, because Russell's stats were awful.

Add that to the locker room poison Leaf was, and he takes that in a walk. Russell was no leader, and lazy, and didn't care - but those are mainly passive faults. Leaf was all that, and an active instigator in Locker Room discord.

Ryan Leaf: 14 TDs, 44 turnovers. 48.4 %.

J Russell: 18 TDs, 55 turnovers. 52.1 %.

Both truly, truly terrible.

I agree that russell was basically neutral pure SUCK in the locker room. Leaf was suck plus terrible teammate.

They should go to rehab together.

half the kids boywonder recruited, add to the depth he deleted (sad)

set us back as much in one year as phil did in 10

A lot of people don't know what a bust is. Jamarcus Russell was the farthest thing from a bust at lsu. Chris Donald has to be the biggest. Also what happened to Brandon Jeffries?

The quarterback that came to Tennessee in Peyton's class, seems like his name was Branndon something.

Brandon stewart maybe? I can't remember when he came in, but he just seemed to disappear.

It was Brandon Stewart. I think Peyton Manning had a lot to do with his disappearance. Stewart transferred to Texas A&M. I think he started for awhile there, but I'm not sure he finished as the starting QB.

I'll have to agree with the people that named O.J. Owens as the most overrated. Donald would make my short list as would Brandon Jefferies.

I dont wanna say overrated, i just couldnt find any where to post this ha
Player Bio: Dillon Baxter - University of Southern California Official Athletic Site

that the link to that Baxter kid that plays on USC. the running back.. Had no clue the kid was 29years old.. Born in 1981, dont think ur allowed to play college ball when ur almost 30.

You can be any age and still play college ball as long as you are still eligible. USCjr had a reciever a couple of years ago that was 39 or something.

However, thats got to be a typo. Baxter was in high school last year. Probably meant to say 91 instead of 81
