who are you most overrated and underrated players for the Vols in 2008?

Overrated: Anthony Parker: I think he's good, just not All American hype good

Underrated: Josh Briscoe: I think he's held this team together for a while and I really think he'll be a big leader for us this year

others?

Overrated- Kenny O'Neal- Even though he's no longer on the team, I think he still deserves the honor. Plus, I'm not dissing a current player.:)

Underrated- Robert Ayers- I think he will be a dominant pass rusher this year. He has all the tools, just needs the consistent effort.

I'm not saying anybody in this thread did, but apparently it was ok to call Jonathan Hefney overrated last season.

that's because he was not playing well....can you honestly say that you've sat down and just watched Parker play? What did he do wrong last year to make you think he wasn't an AA lineman?

I have watched him during games and watched tape and he's a great offensive lineman. he has great techinques and is mobile. I'm not saying he'll not be an AA I just think there more players better at that position than he is. He also somewhat benefited from having a QB who threw the ball right after somebody crossed the line of scrimmage. Hell, I hope he goes out and has a great year and is an All American.

as for the "dissing" the players thing, it's only ok to diss them when they'll down? but it's not ok to say you don't think a player will perform as good as he's projected to be?

after the year Hef had his junior year, and what he did his senior year, anyone would call him overrated. He actually did something to be called overrated..none of these guys have yet.

I remember I did this last year and my "under" guy was Montario. I've been wanting to say this for awhile, but Austin Johnson. If he doesn't have to move to back to linebacker because of some freakish LB injury bug.

First time we've had a FB in 2 years, and he isn't even the starter I don't think. So if he scores once or gets a positive carry this years prediction can't be as bad as last years.

Austin Johnson might move to LB anyways. We have Ben Bartholomew coming in this fall.

Well there you go. My pick under pick is Ben Bartholomew. If he was anything like his brother then I know I'm making a wise choice.
