Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Sheepin it up!! :eek:lol:

There's no way this team is ten times better than it was when Dooley took over.

I can say with complete certainty that Dooley is not capable of getting this team over the hump. We're almost three full seasons into Dooley's tenure and he has yet to beat a single team of significance. And along the way he has compiled a dubious list "firsts" for our football program. I really hope Hart isn't content with Dooley's performance.
Defensive back is not better. At all. Qb is better. O-line is better. Wr is better. Linebackers are better. Running back is slightly better. D-line is better. We have better players than before. The problem is where we started in relation to the competition. There is nothing you can say with complete certainty except the past record in games. And that is only because it already happened. The rest is your opinion. Which you are entitled to.

"But, overall, the SEC (with 7 of the top 20) is clearly the top conference in all-time college football rankings.

Here are the SEC schools.

Alabama has been nationally ranked 605 times (8th most of any team). They were ranked #1, 31 times (last on January 2, 1993).

Tennessee has been ranked 533 times (9th most of any team). They have been ranked #1 18 times (last on January 5, 1999).

Florida has been ranked 452 times (12th most of any team). They have been ranked #1 25 times (last on October 7, 2001).

Auburn has been ranked 443 times (13th most of any team). They have been ranked #1 7 times (last on September 24, 1985).

Georgia has been ranked 433 times (15th most of any team). 14 times they have been ranked #1 (last on December 7, 1982).

LSU has been ranked 421 times (16th most of any team). 14 times they have been ranked #1 (last on November 3, 1959 - obviously this is due to AP publishing a separate poll from the BCS which named LSU the 2003 National Champion).

Arkansas has been ranked 360 times (19th most of any team). Once they were ranked #1 (last on October 19, 1965)."

Which articulates my point. The SEC didn't become the strongest conference in 1998. WE ALWAYS HAVE BEEN THE STRONGEST CONFERENCE. But the BCS has made it impossible for the Yankee Sports Writers and the Western Media to ignore us. Add to that, ESPN(Formerly ESBIG10), chose to hop aboard the SEC Train, by signing into a TV deal with us.

The SEC is no better. We are simply covered more widely, hyped more often, and it is simply undeniable, at this point.

But, believe you me.......as soon as the Big 10, PAC 12, or someone beats the SEC in a BCS title game, the honeymoon will be over. Until we spank someone again.:peace2::pepper:

What teams are 1-7 in being ranked nationally? 10, and 11? Incomplete list appears. Does that mean it does not fit the argument you are trying to make? Or you were going to post it later?

Supposedly better at all these positions and yet our record doesn't reflect it. I guess that means more talent is being wasted now than two years ago.

From your posts, you strike me as a Nascar fan. Let me explain it this way.

It's more like you are in a race car at Daytona, and your 8 cylinder car is only running on 6 cylinders, and you top out at 150 mph. Meanwhile, the race leader is going 200 mph. The first year you get another cylinder to fire. Now, you are running 175, but the leader is still going 200. You are gaining and now you can see his taillights.

wow 2011 was great, only conference SEC win was an OVERTIME win over vAnDeRbIlT wipee, adding insult to injury we F****** lose to Kentucky with a receiver @
QB running the same play the whole game
Absolutely incredible......Dooley led teams are awsome!
NOT!

The problem is everytime we see their taillights, our crew chief radios the driver and he takes a header into the the wall on the outside of turn 4.

I hate NASCAR.

And who's to blame if the talent is much improved but the results on the field don't bear that out?

First off, grammarical is not a word that I'm aware of. Second, you are greatly mistaken if a majority of my posts are concerned with other posters grammar. I'm more concerned about context. Third, if you believe for a second that we have not seen any improvement under Dooley, then don't read my post's. Do you see that little ignore button, please put me on ignore. That way your grammarical's or whatever won't come back to haunt you.

Easy on the spinach now popeye

It means that we are coming out a hole that was unprecedented at UT. But you know that. Keep your Gruden torch lit.

I've never claimed Gruden is coming to Tennessee. I don't know who we're going to get to replace Dooley, but maybe they're be able to do something with the talent he's brought in.

Epic waste of your time. They are tailoring their posts to speak Gruden into existence. Adults can not be that dense.

What happened in Starkville? We're better talent-wise at almost every postion than Mississippi State. Our worst recruiting ranking over the last four years is far better than their best ranking. We're lousy with NFL prospects; I'm not sure they've got any. We had two weeks to prepare for the game. What happened?

He can't win games. It's that simple.

Rivera failed to field a short kickoff, and let them recover on our 35 yard line. Devrin Young fumbled and turned it over on our 30 yard line. Darr had about a 12 yard punt that was basically a turnover about midfield I think. When you give up the ball repeatedly in your territory to a decent team in their stadium, you generally lose.

And our defense was absolutely torched throughout the game. That's been a recurring theme this season.

What explains the part where our Super Duper Offense went three and out three flaccid times in a row after our first drive? We looked like we'd be able to score at will....and then nothing.

Derek Dooley's more talented team looked unprepared. Dan Mullen's didn't.

We should score every time, and never give up a first down.

That's not what I said at all, is it? Is it too much to expect that an NFL prospect-studded offense move the ball against a mediocre opponent after two weeks to prepare?

Amazing how we can lose every game against even a semi-decent team for years and years, and somebody's always willing to just say, "Well, that's football, sometimes it bounces your way and sometimes it doesn't." I swear, Dooley would have to actually run out on the field and pull his pants down for some of you guys to hold him accountable.

You sir are an idiot!

No azzwipe, you are a the idiot. Get out of your parents basement and get a clue before posting such nonsense! Not just any coach will bring UT back to prominence against the likes of Spurrier, Muschamp, Richt, Mullen, Sumlin, Miles, and Saban!!!
