Just curious to see your guys thoughts on who will make the most progress in the offseason. Here's what I think

Offense: Brandon Johnson and Marquez Callaway
Defense: Nigel Warrior and Baylen Buchanan

Need some DE's and LB's to step up big time or it will be a very long year.

Like your O picks but the something has to happen on the OL.

I liked what I heard about Drew Richmond really learning a lot and improving this year. If, a big if, we can stay healthy on the lines, we should have a chance to be really good. Seems like every fall practice we lose a key lineman and we are forced to insert someone new. Warrior and some of the defenders have to keep their emotions checked. Great talent but, waaay too many stupid fifteen yard, drive saving gimmes, to our opponents. Unacceptable.

Latrell Williams will surprise in the slot if Butch will put his trust in him over Josh Smith's senior leadership. Drew Richmond will show why he was highly sought after. Kongbo will flourish on the inside.

Offense
1. Brandon Johnson - starts at WR opposite Jauan Jennings and makes a big impact.

2. Ethan Wolf - finally lives up to his potential and turns into an elite TE

Defense
1. Austin Smith - lives up to his hype as a freshmen and makes an impact at DE

2. Nigel Warrior - starts at safety opposite Abernathy and becomes a star

3. Daniel Bituli - starts at LB opposite Kirkland and also becomes a star

So warrior beats out TKjr? Highly unlikely.

Would really like it if Drew Richmond would live up to half of what he was supposed to be. Would definitely help.

Hopefully Justin Martin can help out as well on D.

I expect to see players better across the board. With better coaching in the secondary our altheletic talent will show. Assuming we get a new coach, OL play will improve substantially. S&C will improve everyone both in strength and toughness. We will be making plays we couldn't buy before.
I have faith in Shoop and Scott.
Expect growing pains at QB first half of the season.
We just need another great DT recruit that can play this year.

King Kongbo...He has the strength and speed to destroy a enemy O especially if he's used correctly all during the game.

I'd move him around all across the D line as both a DT and as a DE to keep the O confused.

He can explode at both positions.

I also expect Kyle Phillips to have a coming out party this season and show what he's really capable of.

I think this is the year the Shoop Troops D will carry our Vols.

I'm not exactly sure who it will be but if our O line can pass block better I think a WR will come out of nowhere and explode onto the scene and totally stun everyone.

I don't think that WR will be someone we've talked about much on here before.

I also think the Rock will play a big part of teaching our guys to play disciplined, smart and much tougher and he'll be seen as the best addition buTch made this offseason.

Never forget that the Rock was a Lineman so he knows what he's talking about with solid fundamentals.

I'm looking forward to this next season because if our QB play comes around fast we just might have a special season in front of us despite what all the Negative Nincompoops always spew.

VFL...GBO!!!

Offense: OL in general thanks to S&C improvements. OTs Richmond, Hall and Kendrick the most. Coleman Thomas is due for a rebound. Latrell Williams will surprise some people too. While we have depth concerns at WR, I think we will be fine. QB is a concern but with a solid OL and TE corps returning, I expect Offense and Special Teams to be Strengths next year.

Defense: McDowell and LBs in general. Vickers and Kongbo on the DL. Evan Berry and Nigel Warrior will huge strides as well. LB, Safety and NB will be as strength. DL a ? CB a huge concern.

1) Jonathan Kongbo.
- that kid was really coming on after he began to trust his coaching. 6'6" 285 lb man who runs like a LB. Expect him to continue being disruptive.

2) Marquez Callaway
Freshman or not, he should have been getting touches all year.
With us losing so many playmakers, Callaway will get all sorts of chances now. He's our most explosive player on offense.

3) Tyler Byrd @ safety
Yes at safety. That's where he was originally going to play until coaches felt they needed his juice on offense.

4) Cortez McDowell
Knowing coming into next season that he will be the unquestioned starter at OLB And that its his last season , will make a huge difference in his off-sea
off-season prep. He's been good at tines, but his physical conditioning has been less than ideal.

5) Emmanuel Moseley
Kid came in as a freshman and worked hard. But he was still playing off his instincts mostly. Unsurprisingly... his freshman season was his best due to coaching . Look for Coach Warren to change this kids fortune and turn him into a draft worthy player.

Honorable Mention.

I'd love to see Bituli become the talk of the SEC and Bates to make enough improvement to be a significant contributor.

Many stating that LBs need to step up. The fact is that the staff needs to step up and evaluate every LB we got this spring. We have not only quality depth but some hidden talent if they would bother to look and give some opportunities.
