Most Improved Player of 2019?

Latrell Bumphus. At the beginning of the season, he was barely projected to be in the 2-deep. Now, he's probably our 2nd best D-lineman (behind Solomon).
Latrell is from my hometown....actually played centerfield and pitched on the High School baseball team also. (he has gained some lbs since getting to the hill...and especially after the move to Defense). The real crime in his career...is that Butch didn't redshirt him the first year. He was 17 yrs old when he got to Knoxville... and butch wasted him that freshman year using him as an H back on a few goal line plays. Just pure insanity.

While I wouldn’t say he’s the MOST improved (JG/Warrior), Latrell has definitely been a nice surprise. But he represents my hometown, so I’m a tad biased.

Nice to see a H.C. Tiger in the spotlight. He has surprised me.

Shamburger on D and JG on O in my opinion. The Oline and Dline as entire units deserve recognition. They are both big and physical now! Night and day comparison from last year and the Butch years! Warrior is finally playing to his potential as well. Can’t say enough about the upper class men who stuck it out, bought in to Pruitt, and are leading from the front now!

Most improved from last year to this year:
Offense - Tim Jordan
Defense - Warrior

Most improved from the beginning of this season to now:
Offense - JG
Defense - A. Taylor
I think Alontae is the most underrated player on the team. He and Thompson will be the best duo in the league next year.

UT started J.Carvin at RG for the MSU game and he's started ever since. We're 5-1 since then with few sacks.
Defense is split between T.Jackson, Shamburger and Warrior.

JJ. The fact that he is finally getting the ball is a testament to the QBs improvement.....but he is showing out in several of those catches and yac runs, etc,. Remember, this is a guy who was kicked off the team a couple years ago. JJ has earned a shot at playing on Sunday's ..... who at QB can you say the same for right now?

It’s Warrior and JG. Honorable mention goes to Tim Jordan. He’s as solid as they come in pass blocking.

Some of the JG haters. They're now part of the encouragement and support brigand instead of the teardown and demoralize platoon. Congrats.
