Most impressive Vol performance:

2 wins in Gainesville, a couple more in Bama, a W in South Bend, another in Miami....he was as good as it gets against big competition on the road.

Agree. He just never got that SEC championship. If he did, I think he would be more revered among UT fans

Peyton breaking the losing streak to Bama, starting the game with the perfect slant to Kent that went the distance. And then later with the naked bootleg, called perfectly by John Ward as "Nobody knows who has the ball, except Peyton Manning. He has the ball, and where is he? In the endzone for six!"
The Mose run against SC was likely my favorite play, although Wes Brown's TD against Vandy last year (dragging the whole offense with him) was pretty special as well.
I can remember some special performances by Wide Receiver U, from Willie Gault to Alvin Harper to Carl Pickens to TD Woods to Stallworth and Meachem, but I can't single any out above the rest.

Rick Clausen against LSU in 05. I'd say Ainge had a good game against UGA in 06 between the Hedges. LSU in 05 was a great game and my favorite. One my others would be Crompton OWNING that UGA defense last year as well.

Thanks for posting that clip. Gave me chills. I was at that game and boy was it memorable.

I forgot how good Stephens was.

R. Clausen's comeback against LSU was unbelievable.

C. Clausen picking apart Michigan in the Capitol One was impressive too.

I can remember Hohenfelsvol vs. Lawgator1.

I think Ho deserves some serious consideration.

I would have to say the 1985 Sugar Bowl as a team performance....the Vols kicked the crap out of the "canes". Individually I would say Hubert Simpsons 4 touchdown`s against Notre Dame in 1979.

Individually it would be Kelly "The Future" Washington against LSU. I also am trying to remember a game during Reggie White's senior year where he was just absolutely unstoppable (more so than usual). I forget who it was against. Maybe bama in 1983.
If we are talking teamwise it would be the first quarter against Arkansas in 2000 where we scored 35 points.
