What game by an individual player was the best you ever saw?

My vote: Travis Stephens vs. 2001 Florida. I haven't been a Vol fan for too long, but that game was something special.

Stephens vs florida. The way coach fulmer described it after the game was perfect. "to a running back who would not be denied"

After the stumble fumble, Henry put us on his back. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was listening on my radio outside of my church. I was supposed to be inside for some youth group meeting but I went outside anyways and listened to it in the parking lot. Glad I did because that was one hell of an ending. GBO!!

Dustin Colquitt against Miami in 2003 was the only time I can think where the Punter was truely the player of the game in a top 10 victory!

Henry was impressive, but if you give him the vote, give the vote to the O-Line too. They absolutely mauled Arkansas those last two minutes.

I agree with Stephens (especially because of the competition), but here's another one:

Peyton Manning, 1997 vs. UK - 25/35, 523 yards and five TDs in leading UT to a 59-31 victory

An honorable mention would have to go to Tee Martin with a big assist from Peerless Price for, what was it, 23 straight completions against South Carolina in '98 .

He was probably even better against South Carolina in 2003.

Both games would have been losses without Colquitt.

Exactly, an SEC record. If you add Tee's final pass of the Bama game, it was 24 straight.

Here's another unsung one: Dwayne Goodrich/Steve Johnson against Peter Warrick.

Stats:

1 catch, 7 yards

Prob Eric Berry's first INT... Was perfect. Against Tebow, and Berry's first TD, and Tebows first INT for TD.

i have only been following the vols since 2003, so i haven't gotten to see a lot of those previously mentioned. my personal fav is erik ainge vs. kentucky in 2007. almost 500 yds passing, and 7 touchdowns. what a great game.

arian foster was pretty amazing in the 05 vandy loss, hardesty in the 09 south carolina game was something else. not so much statistics wise, but just for effort, and of course meachem in the 06 call game was pretty great too!

those are probably my favs

I forget how good he was. I believe his career record was 34-10.

2 wins in Gainesville, a couple more in Bama, a W in South Bend, another in Miami....he was as good as it gets against big competition on the road.
