Most impressive thing about today?

Last year, I was really happy to get a top 5 class and was stunned to go a whole signing day on VN without a single thread arguing that star ratings don't matter (thank you Butch!).

This year, I am so very pleased with this class, but I think the most impressive thing about today is how smoothly it went for such a highly ranked class.

I mean, we got a top 10 (possibly top 5 class) all signed up by around noon ET on signing day. Have we ever had it go so smoothly with such a top notch class? If so, I don't recall it.

What has impressed you the most about this signing day/class?

Other than the kid switching the other day to TAM (which we apparently wanted him to do) we did not lose anyone. Not sure that has ever happened before.

just that it went so smoothly. It speaks to the relationship Butch and the coaching staff has established with these kids. Was there one defection on signing day? It is a great class! The addition of DR was incredible! Now, let's get behind these young men, and get ready for Bowling Green! Anybody got tickets!!!! GBO

We didn't lose anyone in Dooley's second class (IIRC), but it was a class with more lower ranked recruits.

I'm beyond impressed. Turning Richmond in the final hours was unbelievable. CBJ has something special going here!

The best thing about today is you couldn't have predicted better.

One word: IMPRESSIVE. We'll see how it all works out down the road with these kids. Hopefully, the results on the field match expectations for this touted bunch. Well done to all coaches and players.

Go m'f'n VOLS.

Yeah, to me that is Butch's most impressive get in his time here. We stole guys from Vanderbilt last year, but to steal a top rated commit from a really good recruiter/successful coach like Freeze, at the last minute like that is really the mark of an excellent recruiter.

1. This website didn't crash. Volnation is the best on the web.
2. The amazing production by the UT Athletic dept. The interviews, cameras, and interaction, were all top notch in my opinion.
3. Didn't lose anyone today which made for a relatively drama free day.
4. We addressed needs at every position, and in doing so, landed a consensus top 5 class. Incredible effort by countless people paid off today. Can't do much better really.
5. Finally, we have TWO players so dedicated to the rebuilding of this program that they elected to take a Blue Shirt. These are the types of players that you want in your locker room.

Not only did he beat Freeze but, he also beat out Saban

I'm just overly impressed all around. I cant pinpoint an exact reason though. There is just so many different things to choose from.
