Who’s it gonna be? I say swing for the fences and make Bama’s Scott Cochran the highest paid assistant in college football.

Who do you want to see?

Izzy Mandelbaum would be an improvement over what we have had

It'd be great if they could pull him away but it'd never happen. He's been with Saban since 2007. Cochran plays a larger roll than most think in why Saban has been as successful as he's been at Alabama. He's that one guy that's never been through the Alabama revolving door and there is a definite reason for it. Whatever we offered him Alabama would match it or likely raise.

over rated topic. yes the weight room is vital to building a program no question about that. maybe one of the most important aspects, but the best strength and conditioning coach cant prevent injuries. Our number 1WR went down second quarter of first game with a helmet to the wrist. whose gonna prevent that. theres a matter of luck to it at well and Tennessee just hasnt had that

What if Rock is retained?

I don't think he was the problem.

I think the main problem with our team was that Butch let the prisoners run the prison.

I believe the main thing this program needs is discipline and work ethic.

UT's had so many S&C coaches in the past few years. I'm not sure where the blame lies but they need to get that aspect figured out.

Respectfully disagree.

Too many off-season injuries.
Too many early collapsing pockets.
Too many pushes of the DL three yards off the ball.
Too many times the defense was gassed.
Too many times we lost.

We did not win the line of scrimmage consistently against one SEC team.

We gave up 600 yards in total offense in 4 games.

We broke down.

The Jennings injury in ATL was a freak play, but Callaway stepped up - hence the need to continually develop the second string through strength & conditioning.

The S&C staff will have daily contact with the players. There are periods where the regular coaching staff cannot run practices.

The Strength and conditioning coaches spend more time with the players that the position coaches or head coach....

IT'S AN EXTREMELY IMPORTANT DECISION

They just got Rock last year, a NFL guy. I think Butch was the real problem. We should keep him unless Pruitt decides differently.

Yes, freak accidents happen. Yes, you can find 3-4 injuries and say it’s overrated.

But look at the overall pattern the last two years. Last year only one other school in Div I had more lost starts than us. This year it’s probably on par with that. I know we were down 10 OL at the end of the year. That is not freak accidents, that is an indication of a clear problem. No team is simply that unlucky. Bring someone in to get these guys ready to play.

I'm pretty sure Cochran is already the highest paid S&C coach in the nation.
