It's a little bit overplayed. I'm not a fan of the shotgun in short yard but the most important change is (at least Pruitts public comments) is after a 59-3 win, good is still not good enough.
I dont know if he ever wins this conference or anything beyond that, but that attitude is why his former boss doesnt have down years.
If Pruitt and Co are going to succeed, we should witness this team improving toward November, baring injuries to key individuals.
I also really like seeing our coach "discussing" bad plays w/ players when they come off the field. Whether it's ripping them or making coaching comments, it's alot better than seeing a pat on the back side saying "let's gettem' next time". To me, a player will better remember not to let a punt land and roll 20 extra yards if he's challenged coming off the field, than waiting to talk it over in the film room on Monday. Is no more lining up Shotgun on 1st & Goal!
I’m relieved we’re going back under center giving the RB a chance to pound it in for 6.
If the O-Line improves, we need to play more smash mouth football.

We looked good when guys like banks ran it straight up the gut. These guys can make those inside scheme blocks it seems. I say stick with it more too. If it works run with it, you know it’s gonna open up some play action stuff and the WR sweep, plus those o-lineman like those smash mouth plays. My hope is that Helton is just gonna use these three games to find our strengths and then come Florida whatever we did well that’s our game plan, + or - a few schemes based off the weaknesses Florida has shown so far. Their run d is the first thing that jumps off the page at me on Florida. Franks takes a lot of hits too !
Unfortunately, running up the middle on SEC defenses will prove to be more difficult than ETSU
Of course, that’s why I said if it works well then run with it. We had success the few times we ran it against WVU, but we never came back to it which was confusing. I still think a kid like chandler may be able to cover up some of our o-line deficiencies better than any of our other backs though. So I’m anxious to see him get back out there and get an extended run to see what he can do this year behind this line.
