Most Followed Coaches On Twitter

I see some comments on "Wins and losses" and "Does this matter?" In recruiting, it does matter. A lot of poster's on here (including me) are older. For the younger generation. Twitter is huge and it is very important to be on socail media so that these youngen's can see what is going on in the football world as their world revolves around their phone. I'm on twitter, because computer technology is my career and I have to keep up with things. Most of my friends my age, upper 40's, could care less about Twitter. I equate it to how most of us are on the internet but our parents are not. or barely. The younger gen use way more social media from their phones than from a computer. So again. It is vitally important (whether the coaches are the ones posting or not), to keep up with what the younger generation is doing as it applies to recruiting. As for Alabama, their time is coming. Either keep up with the younger generation. Or fall behind. We went 5-7 last year and look where our class was ranked. Do you really think if Alabama went 5-7 that their recruiting would be as strong as it is now without social media?

He now has 144k while Les Miles has 145k. He will be the most followed coach in CFB soon, for whatever that's worth - Twitter fame is all the rage these days, so I'm alright with this. If anything it shows our coaches understand how to market themselves and their program better than others.

Its really not worth much, although there are some on VN that would probably trade a win for the twitter title for our coach.

definitely true, I teach college age kids and am amazed that the only "computer" that many own is their phone.

Butch

Butch will likely take the crown over the weekend after we tear apart the Cats and LSU falls to the Hawgs.

Hopefully Miles doesn't open a restaurant with Jimmy Cheek any time soon!
