When was the last time that Tennessee didn't either punt or have any turnovers in an SEC game? I can't remember when that's EVER happened before... even when playing Vanderbilt or Kentucky in the 90's.

You have to like the way the offense looked today, but damn Missouri's defense is bad. VERY BAD.

People forget that when Missouri came in the SEC, they won the East the first two years they were in, I think.

I was more than happy to shell out a beatdown to them today.

Soon it will be Florida, Bama, and Georgia's turn again. Everything goes in cycles. Tennessee will not stay down forever.

Most Dominant SEC win since...

When?

You have to go all the way back to 2010. Derek Dooley was our head coach. Heh, yeah.

We welcomed the Ole Miss Rebels to Neyland Stadium on a brisk and sunny autumn day, the 13th of November. And were then entirely inhospitable. The final score, 52-14, was exactly the same scoring margin as today's bout against Mizzou: 38 points.

Ole Miss only won four games that season, and only one of those was an SEC win (vs Kentucky). They would later have to vacate all four, for an official season record of 0-12.

What about that Arkansas game back around 2000. Even Leonard Scott caught a pass, and for a touchdown.

Seems we blew them out in all fascias of the game. Maybe both a kickoff and punt return for TD’s as well.

I remember it was 35-0 in the 1st quarter. They couldn't tackle Travis Henry in the open field. DeAngelo Lloyd returned a fumble for a TD. Burney Veazey dropped a wide open pass in the end zone, or Tennessee would have hung 70 on them.

The 65-0 win over Vandy in 1994 stands out to me, because we had such a young team and it didn't seem like we had even played very well. A Vanderbilt DB intercepted a pass from "the other freshman QB", Branndon Stewart, around the 5 yard line and while attempting to make something happen with the return, he ran backward into the end zone without being touched. He was then tackled in the end zone for a safety. That play pretty much summed up that game.

Good game. Glad about the win. Hope next week brings the same result, because the two after that are going to be a little tough.
