The first couple of games this season these guys looked lost and got beat on plays. By the end of the year these guys were making plays for us on a regular basis. Big improvement from these 2 guys as the season progressed. Both should be back so corner depth should be a solid position for us next season.

I think losing Gaulden made an impact. Their improvement is really incredible when you think about how they were pretty terrible to start thr year. You knew the potential was there.

Wonder if we slide Foreman over to the other CB next year assuming Cam leaves.

I agree that Foreman certainly has improved drastically over the course of the year. He was pretty bad early on but has actually turned into a pretty good Nickel back for us. Should be a good competition between him and Gaulden there next year, unless Gaulden is moved to safety as some say. That being said, Im just not sold at all yet on Moseley. He covers short to medium routes fairly well but struggles greatly on the deep routes. Not sure why as he is suppoeed to have plenty of speed. Hopefully he will improve as others have. Im rooting for him. Go vols :)

They definitely have improved over the course of the year. Weather Cam leaves or not we need them and Gaulden,Miller,Martin to get as good as possible this offseason. I know this isn't a recruiting thread but we need to keep Kongbo, it's a little scary thinking how good our defense may be.

Think about all the injuries we had preseason. This year could've been different...in a positive way. I just hope kamara and jrm come back

The way these guys played the game tonight.. I feel 110% more confident in our secondary next year. They made the plays when they had the chance to make them. Cant ask for much more from your secondary

They are both much improved. Foreman is clearly the better player but Moseley showed major improvement. Watch the Bowling Green Game and then today's game and that proves how much he has improved over this year.

You're talking about two individuals that exemplify what our football program is all about. That's 1% better each and every day. Cut out the distractions and you know, these two young men really improved. What can you say about Malik? Here's a guy that just put his head down and got better and better and better. I mean people forget that these are 17 and 18 year old individuals and not everyone grows and adjusts at the same speed. That's why we have the 1% motto. That's what it's all about. We're an extremely young team and you know all we can really focus on is us and getting better and better every day and these 2 individuals really exemplify what that's all about.

Still think it was those 2 who cost us the Florida game, but you're right. It's all about progressing, learning, and gaining knowledge and experience and its seems as if they're both doing just that.

Can't ask for more.

I don't think our secondary is going to be the weakness people think next year.

Mosley and Foreman have vastly benefited from the play this year. Martin is solid. Gaulden, I believe was going to be very good before injury. Abernathy is promising to me. TK Jr and Berry. The only thing is, we could really use a certain 5 star safety to come in for depth.

I think the secondary will be very good in 2016 and Cam Sutton wont be missed as much as a lot of people will think.

Maybe they did but if you're going to tag a loss on one play or player they you have to do the same with a win. So Foreman won the South Carolina game.

Something most people don't know about Foreman is that he spent 3 years on varsity in high school playing for what is probably the worst secondary coach in the state of Tennessee. So he first had to unlearn a lot of bad coaching and start with a clean slate.

I watched young mr Foreman play in high school, and man I can't tell you how good I feel for him to see the light come on. Sometimes that's all it takes, and I think Malik has got the big picture. So easy to pull for a great kid like him. :clapping:

I would add Abernathy to the OP, and agree entirely. All three of these fellas improved dramatically as the year played out. In the BGSU, OK and FL games, Moseley, Foreman, and Abernathy really showed their youth and inexperience. Yesterday, they played liked seasoned veterans. That's a lot of growth for a single season. Put Gaulden back in the mix, and keeping Martin in mind, 2016 looks pretty bright at CB. Maybe even enough talent to shift some to S to help TKJr and Evan Berry.

Add Osborne to that group. He's really talented.

I don't have to and I won't. They lost us the Florida game on account of lack of effort. Not bc of some coach from 4 years ago. I'm referring to one where they were both jogging around while the play was going. If you don't know what I'm referring to, look it up yourself and proofread your justification.

Foreman is a good example of player development. Sometimes it takes time.
Moseley would have benefitted from a redshirt. Both players look improved because time and experience are great instructors.
Foreman was a pretty darn good recruit, so not surprised to see him developing.

They were on the field playing in the SEC while all you can do is talk about it. It's pretty easy when you're fat and lazy sitting on the couch with a beer in one hand and a chicken leg in the other. Indiana.....figures

You basically just defeated your own point there. There jogging on the field while playing in the SEC against an SEC team (Florida) cost us the game. Giving your all to Tennessee doesn't include jogging.

You know you're losing an argument when you need to resort to personal attacks in your post 😭😭😭😭😭

I'm actually underweight, don't be so judge mental. LOL

Also, since you care so much- I'm currently a Las Vegas resident. If you're ever in the city, perhaps we could grab a drink and talk some Vols.

Afterwards, I'd be enlightened to be a participant in your Voodoo project if you could help me shed all this weight 😭😂

I don't know about Moseley but Foreman definitely improved throughout the season.

I agree with this. Moseley got better but I'm still gonna take a wait and see approach. He needs to improve more.

Foreman however started looking like a potential NFL player the last 6 weeks of the season. Kid improved a ton. I think the nickel is his job to lose next year. Same with Martin at corner. Both were impressive from the Alabama game on.
