Agreed - he didn't impress me last year. Seemed like he didn't always "get it." But you could see his athletic ability and I think he could be a nice addition next year with a little more discipline and coaching.

Kessling said on Vol Calls that after the game Hester was heard talking to his parents about how sore he was and that he'd never been hit like that all game before. Guess the D finally got sick of taking that long walk to the woodshed each week.

Where is this confidence in Morley at CB coming from? When did he ever show he was a better CB than S? Honestly, I dont think he has the hips or instincts to play CB. His best position is run-support safety. That is why he might actually fit in ok with Berry. Berry would be the QB of the secondary and play centerfield. Morley could provide run support.

But really, could we put a moratorium on these Morley threads until school starts back in January. At that time we will know if he has gotten accepted or not. Until then nobody knows.

Vinson was at Safety several times during the LSU game---Morley, Johnson, Gaines, Willingham at CB, Berry, Vinson at safety is a nice prospect--I am psyched

I am also curious where all the talk about the guy that played baseball and is coming back to fooball comes from. There seems to be alot of thought that this guy will make an immediate impact. It's been at least 5 years since he's seen any meaningful time in pads. There has to be quite a bit of rust built up there. Hopefully everyone is right and he can pick it back up quickly, but I'm definately skeptical about this one as well as the hype around Morley.

:pI knew that was going to be the response while I was typing it. I hope he has the same kind of impact. That would only add to a D that has come on pretty strong.

I don't think Vinson can play safety for a full season. His shoulder won't take the abuse.
