Morley Gone??

I have personal experience here and they have people go and make sure you are attending classes. He had to have at least been there in every class. they check on a weekly basis. Grades do not come out until the end of the semester while you are at the bowl game. many times professors will not turn in the final grade until the last second and there is no way of knowing unless the student comes forward asking for help. many professors do not care if they are athletes and will not report anything to the coaches. (again I have this knowledge from personal experience.) Quit trying to take this off of morley. He did it himself.:banghead2:

If it happened as you described, then CPF has little or no repsonsibility in the matter.

He was academically dismissed. He has to sit out a full year then he can reapply. Just because he reapplies does not mean he will be accepted back into the University. If he wanted to get back in he would need to go to a community school or something like that and get his grades up and show the University he has changed his ways. I'm guessing that even then UTK would not let him back in just because the fact the university got some much crap for taking a player that graduated from University High. In my opinion if Morely would have graduated from a regular high school they might have gave him another chance. I'm pretty sure if Morely wanted to he could go to another University and sit out a year then be able to play.

He can get back in school for the fall semester and be eligible for the 2008 season. He would have to go through an extensive interviewing process with the university basically like a trial and make them believe he has changed. If they allow him back he would have to walk on and play. (again this is from personal experience.) he would be on probation for the remainder of the time he was in school and could never have a GPA less than that required to graduate in his major.

Most if not all grades are posted before Christmas, usually less then a week after the last day of finals. CPF would have had the grades before the trip to FLA. And probably around Dec 20th or so.

No comment on the quote except to say I better not comment.
The statement said kicked out of school even after an appeal, that is a little more final than getting kicked off the team. There comes a time when you have to be a man and not a punk and realize the world doesn't revolve around you and your ability to play ball.
I wasn't refering to Morley... I was refering to Hefney.

Geez... do any of you guys read in context or do you just read headlines?

His grades for last semester could have been over the required 2.0 however the decision of whether he comes back is based on overall GPA and if it is under 2.0 for three consecutive semesters (not including summer) that is when you are "kicked out". The semester i was kicked out on i had a 2.5. but my overall was a 1.95. (I was injured my Freshman year and was at the doctor more than i was in class my first semester and my GPA that semester was a .75) It is very hard to pull that up over a 2.0 in 2 semesters. I had a 3.0 my second semester.

I wish Morley well and I hope he can turn it around in class somewhere and get into the NFL.

Sounded to me like you were refering to Morley:hmm:

Go back and read why I posted that.

It was a response to some guy saying that Morley should be kicked off the team for downing the punt at the 4 yardline in the Outback Bowl. Once it was pointed out that Heffney was the player, he said Heffney should have gone as well.

Once again... context. Don't just snap up a quote and make assumptions, guys.:good!:

I'm just saying it would be easy to take that statement out of context if you just walked in on the conversation:salute: .

Morley has also been guilty of some poor decisions at return duty. That was probably what caused any confusion.
