More talk of a coaching change (merged)

I agree, the offense has put up enough points to win. Even against Bama when you consider that 17 points would have won over half the previous games. Our defense couldn't keep Bama off the field long enough for our offense to do much. Play calling in the 2nd half was baffling to say the least.

yeah, if you would have told me our offense would light the scoreboard up with 13 against florida, i couldn't have imagined us losing.

Personally, I certainly hope not. I believe that the recent record of this coaching staff, and their apparent inability to "get the most" out of the players, makes a strong case for wholesale changes.

In case there's any doubt, that's pronounced "start from scratch".

Find the football equivalent of Bruce Pearl...sweep out all the coach's offices (coaches included), hand the reins to the new guy, and get out of his way.

Anything less, and we get more of the same, which is more of the now.

There's been enough of that to last me for a while.

If you think that's too radical, then it's time for you to start thinking of what we'll say when Randy Sanders tears Chavis a new one.......

go vols.

mr. obvious

Now YOU are closer to the truth than most. To break it down even more, the problems started when Cutcliff took the Ol Miss job. Had he stayed for the Fiesta Bowl, UT would have BLASTED FSU that night. Randy Sanders NOT Phil Fulmer was the root of UT's slide into mediocrity. IF CPF has a major fault, it is his loyalty to his coaches even when they do not perform up to standards.

Losing to South Carolina was the straw that broke the camel's back and got Johnny Majors fired. Will the same happen to Fulmer if the Vols lose?

It went a whole lot deeper than that, when Majors came back it became visible that certain persons wanted home gone, for the right reasons.

Sanders was not and is not OC material period. Very good position coach but not an OC and Fulmer was at fault for putting him in the OC position. Cut on his return to UT as OC made a very telling statement in that the players on Offense didn't know how to practice at the speed neccessary. That is the OC's fault.
