More Lil Wayne talking about "Lil Lane"

i love this. Weezy has been my favorite artist since 2000. i know alot of people on the nation are a little bit older a may not understand or even care about his music or rap music in general but just let me tell you how huge this is.

Lil wayne is by far the hottest artist out right now. I know people that like other rappers better and that's cool but you can't argue with the man's visibility. He is everywhere right now TV, radio, movies the man is taking over . I know people that hate rap, hate it. I'll convince them to listen to a few songs and they still hate rap but they admit that he is unbelievably creative and he has god given gift. he doesn't even write his lyrics he just freestyles everything. UNBELIEVABLE.

My point
if you don't like him FINE
if you think he is just another thug FINE
if you just don't understand FINE

But if you love the vols and you want to see them succeed which i know all of us here do(except for you stupid trolls) EMBRACE lil wayne. Him being on our side and shoutin out kiffin and the vols is so positive for recruiting. These high school kids love and idolize him so if lil wayne says the vols are cool and kiffin is cool it's gonna go along way with them. GO Vols thanks weezy.

I am 40 yrs old.....don't care for rap unless it's Run DMC or LL Cool J (Rock da bells!) anyway, I watched this guys interview with Katie Curak and it changed my whole opinion of him. He's as hard a worker at what he does as I am at what I do. Nothing but respect for this kid. I even barrowed my daughter's "The Carter" CD and listened. Not your typical rapper. I liked him before he started with "Lil Lane".

haha, I'll take Lil Wayne as a Vol fan anyday of the week. I don't listen to him, but the majority of young recruits do. This is great.

With sentence credits, etc. Wayne should get out late summer, early fall. I can't think of a better place to have his first show out of the joint than TBA on the Friday night before the Florida or Alabama game.

My girlfriend has this argument for any rapper I praise..
I don't get it. Illmatic was good, maybe great, but wasn't that in '93 or something? Since that time, his alleged competitor, Jay-Z, has blown up, albeit with a lot of filler on all his records. Has Nas done anything else? Stillmatic was bad enough to take him off my radar completely. Are you basing his greatness on those 2 albums, or is there something else I should hear?
And get Wheezy & co on the sidelines in a black UT jersey soon! If we had that entourage at home games we could get anyone here on an official.:shades:

This is football, moron. You need thugs to win. Look at UF. Do you really think the guys on the team now don't listen to Lil Wayne already? Plus, just because you don't 'get' hip-hop doesn't mean it's now invalid. The dude is a star, and he can help recruiting a lot more than Rick Springfield or Garth Brooks or whoever you've got in the tape deck.
