More Boilermakers out

Not going to cheer for the other teams players to get Covid. I'd much rather have 2 healthy teams and we still win the game.

That is preferable, not the least because we need the practice against harder teams and different looks than cupcakes give us. Even so, all that really matters for the record books is a win - and right now, the most important thing is that we actually get to play the game without them canceling somehow.

If they want to cancel it, I imagine they need to do it pretty quickly. With the game being fairly early in the day Thursday, there'll be folks traveling maybe even as early as today and certainly tomorrow and Wednesday.

I am old enough to remember being INSIDE Bridgestone Arena when a basketball was cancelled.

I'm very concerned that the game won't happen, because of all this covid nonsense. I wish it was scheduled for today. Every day between now and kickoff makes it less likely that it will be played. Keeping my fingers crossed.
People calling COVID nonsense are the reason a lot of people have COVID. It’s dangerous and I’ve seen people die from it. People I loved. If you don’t know what you are talking about don’t put it out there.

Okay did a deep dive on the Purdue board. Looks like Wright and Mackey are out for academic issues.

One of them also said that there's probably no good team in the country that was more reliant on their two best players than they were...

Now this game is getting to the point that it will look really bad if we lose

Side note one of the Purdue posters had a great idea!

Swab your nostrils with isopropyl alcohol to tamper with your covid test! Brilliant!

Texas A&M I assume gets the conference bowl split money and doesn't have the expense of traveling and doesn't even have to play the game....

Exactly why I didn't even consider looking for tickets. Guess you could always just make it a long get away trip or vacation, but at the prices the MCB was asking of the UT fan base....no thanks.

Just one more reason why this whole situation sucks so bad.

Sure is odd how all the games managed to be played in the regular season just fine, but now that it's time for "meaningless" bowl games, teams are suddenly overwhelmed and incapacitated and unable to play.
The rumor is the Purdue players are out because of grades. That happens at the end of a semester

I may piss some people off but I think the schools should sue these people that opt out because they agreed in exchange for a years worth of scholarship they would play a seasons worth of football.

If this game gets cancelled, this will be the second straight Music City Bowl that Tennessee has not participated in and therefore would UT consider playing in future Music City Bowls???????????????

I think the holidays are being blamed. Goin' home and hangin' wit da boyz is risky behavior.
