Montverde and IMG Academies -

2024 each had 3 or 4 in different recruiting lists. both have players in 2025's , also just reviewing the ESPN top 60 at least 15 attend academies or elite HS that recruit and pay scholarships for players

several questions: who won the matchup between the two? do academies play HS within their state or just similar schools regionally? any idea the criteria for being selected/recruited to attend - assuming players don't all come for their final year before college.

They don't play each other until Feb. Last season IMG won by 2 the first match up and Monteverde the second matchup by 8.

They play Palm Bay (Civil's team in Jan).

It looks like they play tournaments throughout the season which consist of similar schools as well as high schools.

Both schools have tons of D-1 talent. Monteverde has Aaliyah Crump, Agot Makeer, Holland Harris, Saniyah Hall etc. etc.

IMG Academy has Prawl, Kelis Fisher, Lara Somfai, Kelsi Andrews, etc. etc.

They have a relationship with AAU Coaches.. Matt from Montverde is extremely close to Insells and TN Flight .. In addition, he is very close with the MCDonald Voters and other gate keepers

IMG have been struggling this season winning and Monteverde have been doing good.
