Watching the first two games of the season I can honestly say I am very impressed with him and his ability to just blow through the offensive line. He has looked as good as anyone on D. I am excited about the next couple years with him anchoring that D line. He is straight up beast. GO VOLS

He was a machine against oregan. Absolutely unblockable. He was getting penetration every play. It just sucks that we have no depth to give him a break. But he's definitely been impressive.

When was the last time UT started two tackles and neither went pro?

That's a very good question. We are DL U. No question about it. Reggie White, Doug Atkins, and about 25 pro d-lineman in the last 2 decades, I swear.

He needs to BLOW UP Pouncey and get in his head. Then he will start messing up the snap again!!!

This, I was watching the jets the other day and Shaun Ellis is still taking faces on the D line. The talent we've shelled out at this position over the years is remarkable.

I can't believe how many players we've put into the pros. I bet if you took all the pro players that went to the same college and put them on a team, UT's team would win out vs everyone else :)

It appears that Brown making it in and Walls staying healthy could have been huge for this season. Baaaaad break...

Miami and USC would definitely disagree

Skill players advantages might go to teams like that,
but what about lineman like Reggie white, Big John H, Albert, Leonard Little ect. Al Wilson, Dale carter, Eric Berry, Jabari Greer, Deon Grant to name a few...

Offensively too , Peyton obviously one of the greatest all time, jamal lewis,Charlie Garner, carl pickens, travis x2, jason witten, peerless so on. Lots of old school greats I haven't mentioned. We would stack up pretty well I'd say.

half of those players wouldn't even be playing anymore.

by that same logic, i could include warren sapp in miami's conversation.

maybe if we did a "greatest 90's" team we'd compete

I don't think either did in 2002. Dan Williams didn't start until mid-2007. So if you don't count him, that year.
