I've been saying for months that everyone needs to get over Kiffin. But seriously, I really don't give a damn what Mo, Larry, and Curly think or say about us on Gameday.

The dude is absolutely senile. He will probably have a stroke soon. How good do you think a defensive coordinator that has had a stroke is?

Can you have any less class? Regardless of how you feel about the guy there is no reason to say anything about his age or his prospects of having serious health issues. Sickening........

I hate the Kiffins more than you can imagine...thats why I launched www.F*ckKIFFIN.com it was a good release....Feel free to enjoy it... I do.

I apologize for having the temerity to suggest that your post was inaccurate or your use of English was, well, shall we say sub-optimal? I can see that no-one can tell you that you are wrong, but it might be a good idea to see a clinical psychologist to discuss your last suggestion and the emotions that gave rise to it.

:hi:

Monte is one of the best DC's at any level of football... and like many parents he is blind to many of his son's flaws.

As for UCLA beating UT... seems like the Kiffin's had some hand in that second loss.

By all accounts, the team loved the elder Kiffin, and he was a great guy. He's going to defend his son; he's trying to ensure he can keep a job in coaching - hence the Daddy Clause in the TN contract, and following him at 70+ to USC. His defenses last year were great against pro-style offenses.

I just have to say a word on Chavis - I thought he was a great DC. He grew into the job, and the defense has been stalwart since '96.

As for the two UCLA losses recently, they are 100% on coaching, without question. It was the same coaching error too - if you gave Crompton enough attempts, the game would slow down for him.

Our defense didn't cause us to lose against UCLA.

Agree, but I still don't rate the Kiffins much higher than doggy do. IMO, they were trash when they came here, they were trash while they were here, and they ain't changed since they left.

Chavis coached two of UT's worst defenses of all time in 2006 and 2007. I don't understand why everyone seems to forget how recently horrible we were. I also seem to remember Monte's defense holding Florida to fewer yards than any team they faced last season, so I guess maybe he did know how to coach against something other than pro-style.

well, i'm glad we have wilcox because he's young, knows how to stop the spread (monte didn't) and his defenses consistently were the best in his conference.

Ok gotta ask. Why are you glad to have Wilcox? He hasn't coached a game at UT yet but you hold last year against monte?

To me you have to take ut out of the equation. Compare Boise State vs. Tampa Bay. Or wait til this year is complete then see which one was better.
Just for clarification i'm not against Wilcox. I hope he'll do well here.

It was obvious after the UCLA game that we needed a new DC! How do you like that Monte?

Monte is over-rated. Has anyone actually looked at the defensive rankings of the Bucs during his tenure? They only had a few really good years. Most of the time, however, they were the middle of the league.

Monte is still a hell offa coach

Like him or not, his D did hold the national champ without a touchdown, or am I dreaming. And as far as the UCLA game . . . . . . the D didn't lose that game, the O did. That's my opinion, ought to be yours . . . .

His defenses were in the NFL top 10 in both points and yards allowed 10 of his 13 years in Tampa.
