I agree with you about EB. he didn't keep him from it but the tampa 2 doesn't help either. Basicall does to a safety what a 3-4 does to a lineman.(NG specifically)

But as far as the caliber of players they are equal. NFL v NFL and WAC v. WAC so that argument doesn't hold any merit.

The writer would have found a way to assign an emotion or facial gesture to the "no comment" in an attempt to put down Tennessee and make Lane look good. It is pretty clear what happened.

You mean the 1 touchdown they scored on offense? Sometimes Ds rely on bend-but-don't-break mentality. Seemed to work well as we won by double digits.

I am the OP and that's the way I read it. I wouldn't doubt if it's something Monte said off the record , but it looks like I made a mistake and was wrong. I first saw this posted elsewhere and took it that it was Monte who had said this. No excuses , if I read it wrong , my bad.

it absolutely amazes me how much hate monte kiffin gets on here after so much of our fanbase was bragging about having him on staff just last season. yeah, we were screwed last year. but that still doesn't mean he's not one of the brightest DCs in football.
