The name tells me 2 things:

1) He and Monte have that special father / son relationship.
2) He loves what he has experienced thus far in Knoxville and hopes to be here a long time.

I actually posted congrats last night because I heard on the 11 o'clock news that he was born last night and his name was Montgomery lane kiffin...thought it was a credible source. My bad for thinking I could believe the news.

Congratulations to our new Captain, his wife, and the rest of the family! Love the name.

(Shameless plug follows...) I know a great Pediatrician who would love to take care of baby Knox!

Texvolfan's attempt at being an ass by underhandedly calling the person who reponded a dick.

It's not really a surprise she would choose to give birth in CA. She was pretty far along when Lane took the job, I wouldn't think they would feel comfortable switching doctors or hospitals that late in term.

It's actually Lane Monte Kiffin, and now Monte Knox Kiffin.

And sadly, I find it way less impressive when I see "Angel" and "Oak" in the previous children's names...Oh well. Still cool.

Online there's a couple pages citing the Lincoln Journal Star as reporting Lane's given name at birth was Monte Lane Kiffin (contrary to popular reports with Lane & Monte reversed)

I couldn't find the original LJS article, though, just the mention of it as the source.

It would make Knox the third Monte, though.

The guy has been on the road non-stop since December, when would they have made time to go househunting? He's probably spent more nights in hotel rooms than he has in Knoxville.

He's working hard for us, though, and the fans who have been following him must be very appreciative of all that he's done thus far.

Congrats to the Kiffin family!

If anyone had any doubts about Kiffin not wanting to stay here for more then a few years, I believe this is enough proof! :)
